he's our best rb he's like 26 and I think he's one of the best rb we've ever had tbh... better than ****e like debuchy who got his arse kissed for nowt. manq has been outstanding for ages He's rapid too and you need that He's worth 10 to 15 million these days...
It’s not really given his potential. He’s literally proved himself against top teams. There’s fodder the same age at top 6 clubs earning the same.
Decent but nowhere near one of the best ever. My favourite in my time would be Irving Nattrass and closely followed by David Craig both twice the player of Manquillo. Then you have Bobby Cowell from the 1950’s Cup winning teams. Then Hudspeth from the 1920’s who together with McCracken caused the offside rule to be changed. Then there are the right backs who played at the turn of the last century when we won trophy after trophy.
Meh Xisco got £60k per week for 4 years under Ashley. Only a handful of appearances, but clearly first team level, negotiate somewhere between the 15k offer and his Italy offer.
He must be seriously thinking about a move where he will get games. Especially if the contract offer is good. I'd say that there is less chance of him starting for us than if he went abroad. I think it is well proven of late that if young players move abroad there are some great opportunities right now. Look at Sancho for instance. He'd probably still be sat in the City academy. Now he's one of the best players in Europe.
Interesting that Udinese are allegedly trying to make Matty Longstaff their best paid player......maybe all is not as it seems?
We’ve had this conversation before and you were wrong then and you’re still wrong now. We aren’t talking about them “cutting it” now. We are talking about how good they were. Those named were all better than Manquillo as right backs.
no chance mate... you're way off ... the games so much more advanced now and you clearly don't understand.
More advanced my backside. The only real difference is the level of fitness of each generation and to suggest, for example, that David Craig if he played today wouldn’t be as fit as today’s players is an absolute nonsense. Tactics have changed but again to suggest, for example, that David Craig if he played today wouldn’t be able to assimilate today’s tactics is also an absolute nonsense. Plus tactics don’t necessarily make a player better as opposed to a team. Plus there are a range of different tactics used so if a player doesn’t fit a particular style of play then he can play for a team who employ tactics/style of play that suits him. There’s so many holes in your logic that you can’t even make a net.
you're way off they wouldn't make a championship side you don't even know they'd have the genetics to live up to today's standards. name any sport and today's standard are higher than in the past ... that's how it works
I know we are ... I'm simply highlighting that some of the olden times players wouldn't have the genetics to live up to today's standard... you don't know ... some of the lesser players might.. it's impossible to know
What do you mean? Irving Nattrass played up to 1986, why has the game changed so much since then? Shearer was about to start his career then too, cut he not cut it today either?
Feeder team for Watford under the Pozzo family ,they basically wouldn't pay a penny of his wages and would get a decent return on him as a free transfer...
