Good news but seems a strange time to announce, would have thought they would have wanted to see if the season was completed and what the financial penalties are before committing.
Yep, being formalised and confirmed to the public tomorrow. This was sorted some time ago but the club didn't want to announce during the peak of COVID-19. Now's a good time with football returning.
Disagree. Now is the right time just before the PL restarts. And besides there's not going to be much time between this season and next season. Better to get it finalised now.
It gives public security ahead of a lot of big decisions on the footballing front too. There will be a lot to sort out at a club with a bloated wage bill, too many players and the potential of a takeover on the horizon. Player situations are obviously totally up in the air with coronavirus too and there will be tough decisions to be made. Being able to show that Ralph is committed and Semmens, Crocker and Hasenhuttl are committed to working together for the long-term and making those big decisions collectively now is a positive in that regard. * I understand quite a few decisions on player futures have already been taken by that trio and we'll hear more about that in due course too.
Yeah that's fair. Just hope that it doesn't leave a big financial hole should the restart not end up completing for any reason.
Story now also being reported by the Echo, Simon Peach and Jeremy Wilson, for those who are keen to know its credibility. The Holy Trinity of Saints news.
What great news! Apart from anything else this should be a real morale-booster for the players before the season resumes.
Great news, which will should boost confidence before the football restarts. I`ve been wondering which teams won`t hit the ground running come the restart - hopefully we won`t be one of them.
We'll probably start well enough but can see us struggling as it goes on due to our style and the games being so close together.
