How the fcuk do managers let a company slide $19bn into debt? How is it allowed? Before C19 it was obviously into billions.
Uber doesn't seem to be much of a problem, Avis has taken a lot of Hertz market share. And from what I gather, the company has been on the nose for a decade. I suppose the virus was just the final nail in the coffin.
My company used to use Hertz, we switched to Avis about 10 years ago. Both offered decent service as far as I could tell. One I will never use again is Europcar. After making me wait over an hour to get served at Manchester Airport last year, the lady at the desk apologised for the wait and informed me that she had an upgrade for me. Thinking no more of it I walked off with a nice Peugeot 3008 for my 8 day rental. Imagine my surprise upon returning the car that my £175 rental had now become a £480 rental based on my upgrade and additional premium insurance. They then showed me where I had signed for the additional charges but I am convinced to this day that they added those after my signature - no way would I have signed for that and the lady never pointed it out to me before I signed the paperwork. Absolute twats who I will never use again.
The all powerful euchre God in the firmament glared down upon his humble servant, and thundered in a trembling rage filled with great menace. "And today, you shall eat **** my son."
Carnage has followed the death of George Floyd, a man who tried to endure 7 minutes of knee pressure to his neck. Bystanders pleaded for the policeman to ease the situation, but by the time he did so, Mr. Floyd was limp on the ground. There is film of a nearby person saying, "They just killed him."
And all of this could have been avoided if the police had at least arrested the officer who's actions ended a life, and given the legal system the chance to do it's job.
How's this for a tribute? In 2015, upon the death of Mr. Dawson Tamatea, the Palmerston North Boy's High sent the much beloved teacher on his way with an outstanding gesture of love and respect. Brilliant.
I'd be on the radio. "Ahhhh .... get that great heap of **** out'a the way ya' big bunch of **** sticks."
They are saying the chaos spreading across the US, is the biggest eruption since the death of Martin Luther King Jr. I guess only time will tell.
German police believe they may have enough evidence to charge a man for the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. As a side note, the lead Portuguese detective on the case, Goncalo Amaral, stated last year that the man now under the pump would be "scapegoated." It seems someone's evaluations are amiss.
This guy, identified only as Christian B., as required by German criminal law, is a very real suspect. A serial sex offender who is at the moment serving a prison sentence in Germany. Here is a comment from Clarence Mitchell, a spokesman for the McCann family. Full article clip is underneath: Quote: A spokesman for the McCann family, Clarence Mitchell, told BBC television on Thursday morning that "of all the thousands of leads and potential suspects that have been mentioned in the past, there has never been something as clear-cut as that from not just one, but three police forces." Unquote. https://www.dw.com/en/german-sex-of...-in-madeleine-mccann-disappearance/a-53675625 I fear that little Madeleine was abducted and murdered by this pervert.
No surprise that the British tabloids have already decided that this German guy is guilty. No need for further investigation. Given the incompetence of the Portuguese police, they might come up with some evidence for a case in 40 years time. That bloke from Chelmsford will remember seeing that blond foreigner with a little girl thirteen years ago and it was definitely him.
QMII, the British tabloids (hope you include the "Daily Wail" here) are of no interest whatsoever to me, but I honestly believe the German police are on to something here. I think they will prove that this man is the culprit, and that the nearby presence of his camper van was no coincidence. Be patient, we'll just have to wait and see, but I wouldn't jump to any conclusions for the time being. Try and not to be too sarcastic with your comments, old chap, doesn't help. The McCann's were of course derelict in their basic duty as parents of a very young child, but enough has been said already over the years about this, and we know all about it. If I have got this all wrong, I will be the first to admit it, but, as I said, I fear that the little lass was abducted and murdered. A terrible business.
When I looked at the newspaper review yesterday morning, it was splashed across all of the tabloids as it is not a political story. Sorry that you did not like my sarcasm, Swanny, but it was intentional because we have been here before with this case. They have a suspect, the tabloids overreact and in a week from now it could be a non story with no charges being brought because the guy has not confessed and they have nothing but circumstantial evidence.
