Yes. I wonder how much weight the bigger clubs will have in swinging this their way. It might be worth bribing a club with nothing to lose or gain if they think it could get them into the Championship. There is also the threat of legal action from bigger clubs which could influence the EFL to look for more "innovative" approaches. The fact that they are voting today but the results won't be published for days makes me wonder. How long does it take to count up 23 votes?
The 8th June looks like the EFL have decided they don't want the season to continue, they will be lucky to get going again by the beginning of July
How long do the EFL need to put something to the vote league 2 was weeks ago now. For us if the season starts up again you have to be looking at least 5 weeks with 10 games left, if the play-offs happen that's possibly another 3 weeks
This saga is embarrassing now. League two showed them how it should be done. They realised that most of the clubs would be in real trouble if they continued the season and put their own possibilities aside and voted accordingly the only real way they could. However, League one has a load of clubs who only see self interest and they are going to push this all the way no matter what it means for others. God knows what happens when this voting lark gets to the Championship. It strikes me that the higher up the food chain a club is the less it gives a monkeys about anyone else or the greater good.
I see they have tested the four teams in play-off positions in league 2 with Colchester having four people testing positive
It's been a very long day today or has seemed it. First son rang. He never rings normally but just checking the old folk are still breathing. Then the Wife's sister rang just to say hello apparently. Then my wife's friend rang to say whoopee they can go out again and did she want to meet her in the Town next Thursday. Then my grandaughter turned up and stayed for 4 hours. She went and my daughter rang to say she was bringing a take away over and we were going to have a lawn picnic. They left at 9.15pm leaving us with the dishes and the clean up outside to put the seats away and stuff. My grandson made short work of numerous beers whilst he was at it that I'm now going to have to get more in sooner than anticipated. Do you ever have one of those days when it's all or nothing that turns up? I'm bleddy knackered and so much so I've had to open another bottle of wine. Damned relatives............
I know how you feel Greeny my son & three Grandchildren live dead opposite me they don't even have to cross the road. My daughter is now visiting with my other Grandson. One problem I don't have is the oldest is only seven, no problem with them pinching my beer & malt whisky & my son drinks Guinness, thank heavens. Every time you try & do something up pops the two oldest ones can we do this
Oh dear Charlton's top scorer is refusing to play as his contract runs out 30th June in case he gets injured & another two have said the same. This could come back to haunt a a few clubs.
