I dont honestly know if its lack of anything else to get interested , my fascination with space exploration in general or anything else but really looking forward to this ...

should be seen above the UK around 9:45-9:50

Launch time is dependent on weather conditions. It should be over the UK 15 minutes after it is launched.

well there is your neutral venue ...

Also interesting from musk ... "if you had said in 2002 we would be here today I would ask you what you were smoking"

I was looking forward to it

Mind you launching it, dropping a couple of astronauts off on the space station and bringing them back again is a breeze compared to me having to explain to my Father in Law how to get on the internet and watch the launch on NASA TV (which was great coverage by the way) over the phone because he is shielding and living on his own and he only has the computer set with a link to Gumtree!

Did it in the end though, so was a couple of hours well spent...

Unlike the previous couple of hours we wasted trying to master Ziggy Stardust guitar jam via Microsft Team

Wasn't going to happen, did you see the kit they were wearing a pair of wellies, white boiler suit, and a pair of marigold gloves topped of with a fancy looking crash helmet.

Real space men wear real space suits. :bandit:

Well, finally seen it, or at least I think we did 4 or 5 minutes after the ISS passed close to due south.

I got a pic and video of it but it is merely a speck in the distance , had to be the dragon though as passed over 5 min after the ISS at quarter past almost on the dot ...

I really hope this is the beginning of regular space travel and movements forward in this regard , the world in general needs this to move forward if not anything else to spark the imaginations and excitement of generations to come ... we have had too long without advancement in this area despite having far far superior technology to what we had back than , and the fact that cost wise it works out around a third of what it would have cost to use the soyez craft shows that it is more cost effective than ever due to being clever and re using rocket parts instead of the throw away culture of before , now if only they could make stage 2 reuseable

Thought that was a really cool launch - very this century. Quiet different to Apollo. Seeing inside capsule throughout launch and also looking outside. Recyclable components. Modern consoles. Tracking. Abort locations if necessary...& then the fly in the ointment...Donald Disinfectant watching close by. At least he wore a suit and no baseball cap... if that ship hadn't made it, it was good bye in November.

I’ve found my enjoyment with the whole thing has been hugely improved by refusing to watch anything he has said about it, either live or on Twitter
