See that Longstaff is only on £800 sheets a week. Be great to get him over in the U23's at Goodison, we had Holgate on about £5000 a week while he learned his trade with them. Wonder if he is mates with Lewis Gibson, he will tell him how good it is here
I disappear from a month, come back and my thread has 129 pages and the title has been changed? What the Lord Farquaad?!
well it's more to so with a political war than whether they are. the powers that be don't want the order threatened
yeah and everyone was pleased, but it's unlikely Leicester will stay in the higher echelons over time. These murderers are a long term threat to the order and nobody outside nufc will be keen to see it go through. I'm beginning to think the worst tbh... tbh if I was the Saudis is **** off and buy Roma ...
... perhaps ... perhaps not ... currently third in the Premier League ... building what will be the best training facility in Europe when finished this year for circa £100 million ... 9 members of the current match day squad 23 or younger and on long term contracts, ground expansion to increase capacity by a further 10k iminent, excellent young manager... and with a young billionaire owner committed to his late father's legacy ... what's not to like?
just a matter of time mate.. your not the first club to have get up there , but staying there is a different matter. enjoy it as you should
... oh I will... but the other thing is that we have a sound business model, and not for the short term ... which was one of the main reasons for Brendan Rodgers coming. Our scouting system is superb and our youth teams are all flying high, bringing through a pipeline of talent which will be there for years yet ... 3 academy graduates now in the first team. Others that have got there over the years bought their way there and couldn't sustain that ... what we have developed looks to be sustainable .. hoping so.
What you’ve currently got i.e. competing with the top 4/6 is only sustainable if you keep punching above your weight in the transfer market. The odds on that are slim to **** all in the medium / long term. You simply haven’t got the resources to compete on a level playing field, you’ll need to continually over perform in the market whilst others continually make massive mistakes, ain’t gonna happen.
All true ... but it's still a fine model and one that should keep us in the top ten for the next decade, perhaps longer ... anything beyond that is a bonus but we'll take it ... Champions League twice in 4 years? ... who'd have thought ... and no real argument that we are currently best placed of 'the rest' ... and a long way ahead too PS stop trying to distract me from winding up Chaos
