We are having one in an hour or so. 18 of us! What the **** difference will a day make. Nobody listens to this corrupt set of scum
Hopefully at this afternoon’s press conference someone will ask how many consultations have been held to date through the world beating test and trace system which went fully and definitively live on Thursday, ie the number of people who have tested positive, been contacted by the highly trained workforce (search on the laughable nature of this training), given over the names and contact details of those they have been within 2 metres of for 15 minutes, and all those contacts who have also received call from the world beating system. Judging by the news reports the answer will be zero, because the system doesn’t work, the people meant to do the talking have been sitting staring at a screen waiting for cases to be assigned for the princely sum of £10 an hour, and no cases have been assigned. Even though yesterday there were around 2000 newly tested cases, according to the government. None of these people have been contacted. The question probably won’t be asked, and I’m sure the information won’t be shared. It will disappear like the international comparisons, number of people tested, number of people who have recovered, number of people in critical condition (very different to the number of ICU beds occupied by COVID patients) etc etc. Still, great leadership by the world beating team which thinks a sixty mile round trip behind the wheel of a car with your family onboard is an acceptable way to test your eyesight. When you have been having problems with your eyesight.
So what you are saying is that no cases assigned to the handlers haven't been dealt with completely and without any further infection being spread? Sounds world beating to me.
This is a great article on how long it takes to develop a vaccine and the bets that need to be made to speed it up. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/04/30/opinion/coronavirus-covid-vaccine.html
There’ll be an inquiry in eleventy years but until then it’s far too soon to suggest the government has done a horrendous job as a bloke on the Wokingham Conservatives’ Club Facebook page heard from Jim who runs the Horse and Crown that France are fiddling their numbers.
Not just my opinion, a few SAGE folk saying it's too soon to ease lock down. Nothing to do with Tory bashing, the decision is being made for economic reasons, the science doesn't support easing. To pinch someone else's analogy you don't take your parachute off once it's slowed your descent.
Surely now a second wave or peak is inevitable would it even be possible to put the country in lockdown again? It would have to be enforced somehow because no ****er will listen anymore.
I lived in Dorset years ago - suffice to say the local population are not the brightest, but even then this is a feat worthy of an entry into the Darwin awards! Total ****ing retards. The local beach and park here were fairly busy, but apart from a few groups of kids social distancing was pretty much observed - unlike the multitude of cretins queueing up for the local garden centre - WTF?
Been there many times as it’s local ... why the hell they would do it, I have no idea. People still try it though. Lockdown crazy is all I can say! Edit: Steels WTF!
