so being a bit dull, we made a £12 Million pound profit but then wrote off £20 Million as an expense, so we lost £8 Million?

FFS, the club needs every penny it can get and our owners wrote off £20 million pound?

The accounts are not being published until the end of July. In he's tweet he's put "The following analysis is made on instinct"... So he's made most of it up then? Or at least interpreted it in his own way.

Yeah I haven't been keeping abreast of anything lately but they're not published, wonder if he's had an inside tip as there's some detail in there. He works with a lot of the media/journalists who have had access to draft accounts. That might explain it?

I'm guessing you don't listen to the WMS podcasts then as this guy was on 3 or so weeks ago and he said he was leaked a copy of the accounts filed back in March but wouldn't say who gave him them.

What's on twitter is the report

Ah ok, yeah that makes sense. I wouldn't expect loads of it to change really, they probably could have filed them but chose not to for some reason...

    I listen to it sporadically.

Still seems like a completely negative slant on everything though so I'm not really willing to pay close attention personally.

The results might be negative but an account still provides professional insight. I'm not diving in with 2 feet on this one.

Could the suggested £8m loss be the reason they borrowed £9m from FPP?

So this is for the 18/19 season? It actually looks mostly positive from that to be honest, I'd say surprisingly so given that I was concerned that it was going to be an unsustainable loss.

Given that the club sold Khazri, McNair, Borini, Lens, Asoro, Maja and McManaman for a combined sum possibly exceeding the £20m mark (there is so much guesswork in the figures to be honest) are we expecting the 19/20 figures to be a car crash?

I guess that there are a lot of variables (so many players leaving who were on high wages, the aforementioned plus Rodwell, Kone, Djilobodji, N'dong, O'Shea, Oviedo, Cattermole, Love, McGeady, Loovens).
