I love rice. Nice light steamed basmati with some saffron. Stir fried and crispy with an egg chucked in at the end and scrambled or a nice creamy risotto.

Can’t say I care much for rice pudding though.

You need butter and parmesan at the end, stir and rest then your cheese on top.

I personally wouldn’t add butter, what I do is reduce my stock until it’s almost dry and then keep adding a tiny bit more. That way the starch from the rice makes it creamy without adding butter.

Parmesan is a good shout though. I’ve just really got hooked on this vintage Gouda I get from a mate. It’s ****ing gorgeous and has got a bit more going on that Parmesan.

I have got a dirty butter secret with my risotto though.

If I really want to pig out, I’ll butter up a couple of corn tortillas and make a risotto burrito

Pleasant surprise. The missus bought some beef burgers from the local butcher and actually left me one!

Where is the ****ing burger? All I can see is a wedge of cheese, chilli, tomato and bacon. Plus some brown sludge on the bottom of the bun.

in all fairness she could make a patty out of one of your dogs turds and it would still be better than what you make.. <laugh>

I was wondering that. If it’s the thing at the bottom it looks about as thick as the bacon.
