Arguably Holmes was the better/cleverer boxer but Tyson obliterated him and banged his lights out without breaking a sweat.

You’re too young to remember Tyson in his prime. The man was a ****ing beast.

Worth pointing out that Mike Tyson dodged Holyfield until the point where he was desperate.

I think a lot of fighters have a nemesis that can undo them, and as it happens I think Tyson Fury’s could be Dylian Whyte.

After D’Amato died Tyson started to go off the rails as he slowly got sucked into the lifestyle.

By the end he was a shadow of what he was at his peak.

Basically everyone sucking Tyson off and nobody giving Holyfield any credit. Is a good watch for someone like me who was too young to remember it.

Yeah I was too young as well but went through a phase in my 20’s where I was obsessed with Mike Tyson’s career. Holyfield wasn’t necessarily the better boxer, he just refused to be the underdog and Tyson hated that.

Both at their peak, on paper... I’d say Tyson still.

Seriously tho, even at 53yrs old, would 20m be enough for you to get Into the ring with Tyson bare knuckle no gloves.

I mean I'd like 20million, but how ya gonna spend that as a vegetable? Or dead.

Who’s paying £20m for that? There’s no audience in BKB. That would mean the purse was about £80m if I was getting £20m as a loser.

    Or are you speaking hypothetically?

he had an off night .. Tyson was good, but was way over hyped because he fought at a time where there was a few old has been floating around and the level has dropped significantly for a time ... even if he stayed out of jail he would still have lost to Lennox and holyfield... I'm not saying he was ****e, but not one of the best ever ... nowhere near.

Roy nobody takes a thing you say about boxing seriously.

You called a Deyontay smash n grab off the back of a weak Fury absolutely dominating him in the first match, despite the fact that Fury aligned himself with a phenomenal trainer and was in the shape of his life, physically and mentally.

So a few words by you means that he was over rated?

next time can you back it up?

Tyson lost 5 of his 6 fights after prison. His one loss before was when he was on his way down mentally. The Tokyo fight with Douglas, Tyson was off his head on Cocaine and the self destruct button had been pressed. I’d say Tyson’s standards dipped therefore the others got a bit of a chance. He was more dynamic, brutal and efficient than the 2 you mentioned.
