Linked with Shaqiri today. Personally I really like him. I think that would be a good signing and he could be a fan favourite.

I've always thought of Shaqiri as a bit similar to me...well built and stocky. If he was taller he'd be well skinny !

Shaqiri has never been Ben Arfa fat <laugh> I remember this little rumour starting when he was at Stoke. I'm sure he ripped his top off after his next goal, the little ****er was ripped to ****. Then that german or austrian lad came out basically saying people didn't have a clue what they were talking about.

He's a good player. He can be lazy and he's not one for when the chips are down, but if we are going to spend big and bring in good players, he is more than good enough for us. The likes of him, Coutinho would be dreamland stuff. Imagine if suddenly our options behind a main striker involved selecting from Shaqiri, Coutinho, Almiron, Saint Maximin. Like when we had the likes of HBA, Robert, Ginola you don't worry about their lazy ways, they more than outweigh it with what they bring going forwards. They will probably cause you problems at some stage but that is a price worth paying. I wouldn't change HBA's time here despite how much he ****ed it all up in the end with his lack of discipline and fatness. He was as good as it got for a short period and was worth those seasons fees alone. We clearly offloaded at the right time but I also think we got the best of him looking at his career.

Shaqiri probably wouldn't last over the long term either, but I'd bet he'd provide some entertainment however long he was here.

Would be a good option in my opinion. A massive step above what we have and accustomed to the league

He’s a good player but not one I would look to buy. Yes, he’s better than most of our players but I think we should be able to get just as good but without the baggage he seems to have.

At the right price, I'd take Shaqiri in a shot. He seems moody, but he has genuine quality.

    25 mil is being touted.

Apparently Poch had the chance to sign him at Spurs, but chose not to.
