Good Morning. It's Wednesday 27th May, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road EFL discuss implementing artificial crowd noise The EFL is expected to discuss implementing artificial crowd noise to make up for empty stadiums. It was used last weekend during Leipzig’s 5-0 demolition of Schalke. Fellow Bundesliga outfit Borussia Mönchengladbach utilised 12,000 cardboard cut-outs of their fans to add atmosphere to their ground. Bristol City Manager Lee Johnson is not discounting the idea:- “Make no mistake, we want to play in front of fans but if we can’t play in front of fans, I think the crowd noise is interesting,” said Lee Johnson, City’s head coach. “I’ve seen it in South Korea and it looked like it worked quite well, if the timing was good. “Maybe that should be a viewers’ choice? We have discussed the crowd noise and we’re ready to go if we decide to do that but it’s got to be something that is broader than just Bristol City. The league has to decide what they want to do with that. I’m pretty sure that it will be discussed by the EFL.” If artificial noise was added, which Leeds chants should be most prominent? The 24yo replied: "I think the season before I had scored seven goals and got three or four assists and I think I did reasonably well for a midfielder. "When he came in, he said he was going to play me as a centre defensive mid, and I was like 'hang on a minute, I've scored one of the most goals in the team, I'm the midfielder with the most goals.' "But obviously I was never going to say no. He looks like a manager you don't really want to upset and I just went with it. "He was telling me how he wanted me to play and what he wanted me to do, first of all he wanted me to lose weight, he wanted me to learn how to play centre-back as well as playing centre defensive mid." "I was more of an attacking midfielder. "I could play striker or I could play attacking midfielder - when I was young - Sunday league. "Then when I got into the Academy I changed to like a box to box midfielder and then I remember one season with Paul Heckingbottom I kind of played everywhere. "I played four, eight and then I played ten so I knew if I got the right coaching and I put in the right work that I could probably play anywhere in midfield. "But I think with the manager coming in and telling me that he thinks I am going to be a good player in that position then I was never going to say no. "It's me just believing in him knowing that he's coached such big players and been in charge of such big teams that have done so well. "I just agreed to it and obviously it has worked out better for me." please log in to view this image Who would you sell? Assuming Leeds are promoted during the Summer, if you were the Leeds Supremo and wanted to free up some money to bring new players in, which of the following transfer would you sanction? Casilla Free Ayling 3m Douglas 250k Cooper 2.5m Alioski 2m Dallas 3m Davis 500k Forshaw 4m Costa 12m Hernandez 1m Phillips 55m Klich 5m Shackleton 1.5m Bamford 5m Roberts 2.5m please log in to view this image
Morning all. You won't be getting those cut outs for a tenner unless heavily subsidised by the club. That would be part of my area of work. The crowd noise won't affect some clubs. Milwall for example would have just noise of a few passing buses to recreate usual atmosphere
I'd sell Bamford, Casilla, Ayling and Cooper. 55m for Phillips would be tempting. You could buy White and sill have 25m left. Both Dallas and Alioski can cover other positions and Ithik Douglas has a lot more to give.
Casilla- a lot of wages for an average keeper. Douglas - Just not good enough imo. Forshaw - Wouldn't get that for him, not with his injury record. That's why I'd sell. Costa - Take £12m Bamford - Won't cut it in the Premier
having watched the red button matches on sky, I think the sound matters more than the visuals... but you'd think with a bit of effort they should be able to cgi some fans in and dub some standard crowd noise on
But its not bulk. Each one is unique and must be designed and printed as a one off. Now if you wanted 12000 of yourself , that would be a different price structure maybe
Good morning Matt What has Ayling done wrong? a 100% player & he's definitely worth more than a paltry £3m So you'd get shot of four of the main players of our first XI & retain five players that hardly played Douglas is slow like Ian Harte, would get done for pace in the premiership
Good MORNING TO MATT and co from a sunny Bardsey Still don't think we will play this season I would keep Ayling worth much more than £3m Keep Davis well worth keeping Sell Bamford for £5m and Costa for £12m and Forshaw for £4mand Castilla and Douglas Buy Foyth for £5mand Ayala for nothing Still need a winger to replace Costa although Wolves are selling Troare to Liverpoolso could they take him back please Need a striker to replace no goals
Morning all. Out of those listed I would rather keep them all, the exception being Cassila, but if forced to sell i would let Alioski, Forshaw and Costa. I think they would be the easiest to replace. Also, Hernandez. As good as he is I think he is coming to the end of his time.
Surely that's short sighted though Matt, get rid of a player, who's establishing himself very well now, for a kid, we're going to improve for Man City's purpose not ours, I really don't want another Ben White scenario, as in improving a players game no end, without a pre agreement to buy and give them money in the process to improve their player, it's sheer madness.
Ayling going forward is great. Aylings engine is fantastic. His contribution is excellent. Unfortunately he gets caught out on pace in the Championship. He's 29 shortly. His pace is only going to get worse
isn't couto just paper talk at the moment. He's 17. Ayling proven and one of our player's of the season. Matt your clinically insane
