I’m glad Rafa is back. He will thrive with the right backing. Part of my thinks he went off to China knowing it was a short term gig before he came back. He’s been Steveleys favourite from day 1. I will have to get my Rafa flag out.
Paul Smith who argues the toss with anyone and everyone and claims every news report is fake apart from his own... Hmm He also says fans would be unhappy with the purchases of Stones and Barkley, funny that because the majority are saying they would be an improvement. Hang on a second... I thought Poch was miles ahead, so surely its a mute point anyway. Unless he isn't as he hasn't actually held any face to face talks yet apart from being sounded out.
Nothing more than 2+2. Daniel Levy isn't letting Kane leave for less than 200 million and were not blowing a couple of years budget on one player. All the evidence points to Rafa anyway and I think 30 odd million for Higuain is more of a reasonable rumour than Kane.
Danny Murphy is saying Pochettino might not be good enough for us and that the new owners will want someone with a proven track record of winning things to hit the ground running. He said Poch did a good job at Spurs, but he was replaced because he didn't win anything after 5 years and that's why they went with a proven manager in Mourinho.
Well that was one of the most inept cross examining of an accused that I’ve seen for quite some time. Why did most of the journalists insist on asking the same or very similar questions as the ones before them? Why did no one ask if his wife can drive? Why did he drive 260 miles with a wife who was displaying symptoms of Covid 19? Why did he drive for half an hour after saying he felt his eyesight was “iffy” and that he didn’t feel well? Just to name three. Sorry wrong thread.
Apparently the aim is to announce the new manager at the same time the new owners make their official announcement.
