How long will it be before Dominic Cummings claims he was travelling to Durham for essential food shopping, because he can’t buy Pease Pudding down south?

For all the press have been a disaster in reporting of the virus, I’m delighted to see that they refuse to let this drop.

It won’t be right for him to get away with it when millions are affected by the very rules he implemented and ignored.

Folk have given up their liberty on his say so, at huge cost to mental health, personal finances and the wider economy.

He isn’t some kind of god, he’s a prick who figured he could do what he wants as he’s ‘too important’.

He’s taken the piss out of everyone of us that stood by the rules, and he simply cannot be allowed to gallivant off into the sunset with his middle finger up.

Reports that he is going to give a statement and answer questions.

Hes a ****ing unelected advisor to the government, the only statement should be "I ****ed up, I resign"

Oh but in Dominic's mind he is far more important than anybody else. The way he swatted those reporters away like flies tells you that.

I had an inkling Diane would come up, is she any worse than this bunch we are stomaching at present, its a dead heat imo. And heaven forbid that anybody should have any sympathy for Palestinians, oh dear no, and Thatcher was also talking to the IRA if I remember correctly, and yes Boris was so clear on Brexit, not quite so clear of late though, slogans are easy, details not so simple, but there you go.

I cannot wait to hear what probing and difficult questions he'll be asked ... hope it'll be Laura Kuensberg asking ...

Let’s not forget the lass up in Scotland who did similar and was gone in 24hours.

Why didn’t Boris step in then and say not, this is ok’?

    Because it wasn’t ok.

It was horrible seeing decent ordinary people having to stay in their little houses and flats.

It was tragic knowing some were dying alone because they couldn't have visitors.

And worse that their friends and family couldn't even go to the funeral.

But worst of all is that people accepted it, like suckers, because they believed the message STAY AT HOME!!!

Yet Mr Cummings smirks and just does whatever he pleases ...

    ... it's absolutely shameful.

My own dad had to miss his sisters funeral (non Covid) mate, hence I’m fully off on one about this.

He was one of tens of thousands who had a scenario like that, and grudgingly accepted it as it was ‘for the good of everyone’.

    ****.

My great auntie always held a grudge because, during WW2, they came and cut down all the iron railings from the front of her house at Stanley.

Not that she was mad at the time, she knew it was going to Consett Iron Company for the war effort.

What got to her was when she went passed the local MPs fathers house which hadn't been touched.

She marched up to the front door and knocked on it until the man came out. The reason, he told her, was that his son came to stay and it was a security issue. She asked what he'd do if she hit him with her stick and he closed the door on her.

    Nowt changes does it <laugh>

Fortunately I don't know anyone who's died of the virus. However, I didn't see my son in all of February, March and April. He was stuck in Florida when the restaurant he was working in closed. When I eventually got him back here in Italy he had to self-isolate (at his mother's) for 14 days. Then he still couldn't visit me as at the time even going to see relatives was deemed non-essential travel. We could easily have broken the law - I've broken enough laws in my life! - but we didn't, simply because it would have been the wrong thing to do.

An ex of mine is a social worker in Lombardy working with vulnerable old people, and what she wrote was horrendous, streets deserted, constant sound of ambulance sirens, not enough coffins to bury the dead who in any case had no funerals and whose relatives couldn't see them in their last moments.

Being caught breaking the lockdown here for non-essential journeys was a €200 fine & a criminal offence (in theory it could be three months in prison, but presumably that would only be for constant repeat offenders).

But going out when you know full well you have the virus is considered as spreading disease and can be up to five years in nick - which is where Cummings should be. He could have stayed in London and got a mate of his to drop the shopping outside, but instead went off potentially infecting workers in service stations (I presume). ****head.

Reporter on Sky News is brilliant, he’s doing interviews and if they try swerve answers he’s brutalising them back to the question.

Shame they were silenced last night with Boris.

Dominic Cummings to speak to the nation.

I suppose this is what happens when a bunch of f*cking idiots meet an arrogant f*cking idiot who tells them he’s a genius.

When Dominic Cummings wanted to sack Sajidjavid’s Special Adviser, he demanded to see her mobile phone to check her messages. Surely now Dominic Cummings will allow his own phone records to be examined to determine his movements?
