Apple update 13.5 has contact tracing built in . https://www.forbes.com/sites/joehar...os-135-is-ready-for-covid-19-contact-tracing/
It may sound like taking radical action but you can still just go where you want and leave your phone at home or put it on aeroplane mode. If taking your smart phone to Supermarkets becomes mandatory I'll be ditching my Samson S20 5G and using one of my old Nokias .
The other day you said you won't be uploading a contact tracing app. If you have an apple phone the latest update has it built in and you can't remove it . So if you update to 13.5 then you are forced to have it running in the background pinging off other iPhone users without your consent sending notifications with your location etc . You're hardly going to change phones because of it so you passively "opt in" .
Aye, will switch back to android for personal use and keep iphone for in work I have auto updates off tho
If Google is already automatically contact tracing cell phones then there's not much you can do unless you use Brave or duck duck go and uninstall Google which is a headache. Potentially I will walk past someone that gets tested positive and plod will bang on the door demanding I get tested or forcibly removed to have q tips shoved up my nose . I doubt any of this will happen but in such a short time we have given the Government permission to do this .
