Micky Gray is the best Left back ive seen play in my era. Obviously Julio knows his stuff more than me like, but Micky was a class act hence the reason he got an England Cap. Was Summerbee not with is when we signed him? If so he should be on the right hand side. His crosses were one of the reasons Quinn and Phillips scored so much.
He got the forwards and the keeper right, arguably Reyna too. I personally don't agree with any of his other selections.
George McCartney #1 was a more solid defender. George McCartney #2 was bloody useless coz he didn’t want to be here
Yes i agree he was better defensively. Wan Bissaka is better defensively than Trent though and i know which one id prefer to see line up for England in the euros
He wasn't at all, he was only ever any good in the 2nd Division. Was awful every time he played in the top flight whereas Micky was brilliant in both and was a far better footballer in every single way.
How the hell does Haas get in there? Just shows how bad we been at RB for all eternity... Would have thought Makin was a shoe in.
I rated Haas, he went on to play regular Champions league football after us for Basle, and was a regularin the Swiss national team.. I see your point though, he was only with us a year so it goes to show how weak weve been in that position over the years.
Oh aye, not that I thought he was a bad player as such, just that you’d have thought there was someone more fitting, as it where.
Don't agree with much of that team mind. No Micky Gray is a massive omission. If he can pick Eric Roy after 1 season for us, he should have had Bould in defence. He should have had Schwarz or McCann ahead of Roy anyway and surely there's a better option than Kilbane.
