Blackfords just been on TV and twice said it's clear as mud that Cummings broke lockdown rules - at least use the correct expression if you're trying to make a point

The worrying thing for the SNP must be that if Salmond brings Sturgeon down, they'll end with someone like Blackford in charge :emoticon-0136-giggl

I don't think anyones suggesting he will be. (I was only pointing out there is a law)

The point that in his position he should follow the Govt guidance, or he should go.

Same reason why the SAGE scientist who was having his girlfriend over resigned. He definitely hadn't broken a law (she might have done) but in his position he couldn't keep his job. Hancock etc were all clamouring for him to go, and be prosecuted, even though it was clear he hadn't broken the law. (although it was the same day that we became the country in Europe that had the most deaths...so he was a useful dead cat too)

Same 'law' being broken but SAGE chap was shagging a married woman, whereas Cummings attempting to look after his kids. One is pleasure, the other is being a parent.

    Incorrect
The law is around what you can leave your home to do
Science shagger man never left his home and the law doesn’t cover who you can let in your home

Doesn't the law contain the phrase 'without reasonable excuse'?

Seemingly Durham plod accept his 'reasonable excuse' as they're apparently not taking any further action, which would mean his actions were not against the law.

For what it’s worth I think Cummings will be gone by Tuesday (day before Johnson is finally in front of a select committee)
Too many Tory MPs breaking ranks and calling for him to go now.
Probably still just privately advise Johnson anyway though

Yeah I said that earlier, sort of.
Cummings definitely didn’t abide by guidance, but it’s questionable whether he broke the law in place at the time. Police may have decided it’s reasonable or decided to not pursue a prosecution regardless.
Either way the pressure in him isn’t down to legality, it’s down to whether he should have followed guidance he helped write

(I was simply pointing out the difference in the cases above)

    BREAKING NEWS

HULL CITY CONFIRM TWO POSITIVE COVID-19 TEST RESULTS

ONLY POSITIVE TESTS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

In the last few moments, Hull City have confirmed that the two positive coronavirus tests in the Championship are from people at the club.

Earlier today, the EFL released a statement stating that out of 1,014 players and staff to be tested across 24 clubs, just two were positive.

The Tigers have now issued a statement to outlining that both positive tests came from its COVID-19 testing programme at the club's Cottingham training ground on Friday.

"Hull City can confirm that two people have tested positive for COVID-19 following the first round of testing at the training ground," said a club spokesperson,

"Medical confidentiality means the names will not be disclosed, and the club asks for this to be respected.

"The duo, who are both asymptomatic and feeling no ill effects, will now self-isolate for seven days – in line with the protocols set out in EFL guidelines – before being tested again at a later date.

"The club will continue to liaise closely with the affected personnel and will make no further comment."

Didn’t the facts change with the second visit though? Hence the direct denial from No. 10. However infuriating yesterday’s shows of support from the front bench were, they were based on the argument that self-isolating in Durham was legal and understandable for a concerned parent. The second visit carves an iceberg sized hole in that and to me at least is far harder to defend legally.

Has the second visit been confirmed by anyone other then a retired bloke who saw someone who looked like him getting into a car with a distinct number plate
