I have some wonderful elderly relatives in County Durham ...

... I'd be devastated if I lost one of them for no good reason.

They are just proving time and time again they have absolutely no respect for us at all.

They think they are some kind of superior race or something, yet if I ****ed up 10% as badly as they have in my job I’d be gone.

They are imbeciles, morons, it’s just staggering. They literally do not give a ****.

Dominic Cummings is self important, self righteous little prick. He hasn't even got the guts to stand for Parliament himself and hides behind his Public Relations face Boris Johnson, who he knows won't sack him as they need each other equally. He came up with the three word soundbites such as "Get Brexit Done" . Well here's a new one for you Dominic, "Get Cummings Sacked". Got a nice ring to it and easy to remember for us plebs.

    https://www.theguardian.com/politic...st-doubt-on-dominic-cummingss-lockdown-claims

Looks like The Guardian have got the measure of this government already and waited until they all defended the indefensible with lies and playing it down, before revealing the next piece of the story.

If the Government weren't so ****ing arrogant in thinking they're above the law, they would have just sacked him. Now it's potentially a hot potato for every single one of them that defended him today.

Sky News are going in as well, highlighting the quotes.

As standard the BBC showing the spine of a ****ing dish cloth about it.

‘Downing Street refused to comment on the new claims’

    Of course they did.

Edit meant to write I hated Morgan but he is outing these incompetent arrogant bastards

In response to the Transport Secretary's comments, Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan described it as "such bulls***."

Taking to Twitter, Piers Morgan said: "This briefing is a humiliating fiasco. Cummings has destroyed any credibility the Govt had left on lockdown. One rule for them, another for we plebs."

While in a second tweet Piers wrote: "They’re lying to us. Again. Ministers & experts. Literally rewriting the lockdown rules before our eyes just to save the Prime Minister’s chief adviser. How can anyone defend this Govt any more?"

In another tweet Piers Morgan wrote: "So @BorisJohnson knew his chief adviser was breaking lockdown from the start, and still backs him now.

"The lockdown is therefore over - why should any of us do anything these hypocritical liars tell us to do any more?"

During the Downing Street briefing, Dr Jenny Harries was asked to clarify guidance about travelling during lockdown.

She said it was “clear” someone with symptoms should self-isolate along with their family.

Dr Harries added that “built in” to all guidance to protect the vulnerable “there is always an element which says safeguarding”.

She said: "There’s always a safeguarding clause in all of the advice.

"The interpretation of that advice is probably for others.”

During the briefing, Grant Shapps was also asked by a reporter how he could be sure that Dominic Cummings did not infect others on his journey from London to County Durham.

Mr Shapps said: "Everybody has been impacted by this crisis and everyone has tried their best to do the right thing."

He said the guidance encourages people to follow the rules as best as possible but added: "The fact of the matter of the four year old child's welfare is the important thing."

Another reporter said people have been making "very difficult choices" about seeing their families during lockdown and asked the Transport Secretary if they should have been using their own interpretation of the rules.

In response Mr Shapps said: "The reality is people should of course follow the guidance - and the guidance clearly says to the best of your ability.

"Then it is for an individual to make the decision of how do I ensure I have enough support around the family."

I suspect Marr will delve a little deeper tomorrow, unfortunately the likes of Kuenssberg have used Cummings as "sources from inside Downing Street" for the last few years so she's compromised.

Fair play to Piers Morgan, for once in his existence he’s been box office throughout this, hasn’t pulled any punches and has been on the money.

    I still think he’s a prick mind.

Tories are now saying the press are "politicising" Mr. Cumming's actions. Er no... they are reporting what ****ing hypocrites Cummings and his Tory MP apologists are. Cummings position has now become untenable and I would suggest those who back him up are on the cusp of being so.

If I'd been fined, for 'breaking the virus law' I'd be going to court and making the biggest fuss possible.

If Cummings can get away with such a flimsy excuse I could say I was travelling because the dog ate my homework ....

    ... and win.

Just said this to my absolutely enraged Dad on the PHONE as I can’t go and see him.

Every single one of those fines needs to be reimbursed bar the reprobates who have assaulted police etc.

There's a fine line between spitting in the face of a policeman and spitting in the face of the nation.

Superb ****housery from the journalists who clearly had this 2nd story before releasing the 1st, but kept it up their sleeves until the lies and excuses came out this afternoon.

    Huge fan of that!
