For the folks that have used national holidays for any travel, whether it’ll have been for football, days out or holidays. Just seen bad news today that they’ve gone into administration. Sad times for the industry

The parent company specialist leisure group also owns Shearings plus all bay hotels. Could be a massive blow to the holiday/hotel business. So many smaller coach companies rely on work from them also.

Done Blackpool trip a couple of years back. £99 for coach with 4 nights, breakfast, evening meal and pints a quid each for 3 hours. I love a bargain me like.

It MAY not be as bad as you think.

Going into Administration is a way of protecting yourself from your creditors.
They are stopped from applying to 'wind the business up', so you can get a break for a while from your creditors.

This gives time to see if you can come up with a way out of your troubles or find a buyer.

Clearly there is a market for their product so there is likely to be some interest.
However some redundancies tend to follow as new owners tend to reorganise

I understand what your saying but that is when there’s no pandemic, what’s happening now is gonna be very hard to limit contact to 2 metres on a coach. Hopefully your right and someone comes to their rescue as I think our economy needs industries like these.

That's true enough, but the business gets time, and in time this will be over.

The two metre rule is unlikely to be in place much longer.

Tourist areas like The Lakes may want tourists to stay away at present, but in a short period of time I'm guessing that they will be begging them to return.

It also looks unlikely, at present, that there will be much by way of foreign holidays this year, so if you can get away it's going to be in the UK, which is just where their market lies.
