I really like playing Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Iron Maiden at the minute. Nearly 14 minutes long but at least you get a couple of breaks. Always enjoying playing the Boys are Back in Town too. Got to love a good guitar harmony! I've been using a Vox Amplug recently, they are good fun, cheap and save you getting earache off the missus/neighbours for making too much noise. It also allows you to plug in an ipod/mp3 player/laptop etc to play along with the songs.
tends to be via fx thingy into old 4-track or mixer then headphones for me. the first (multi) fx i got after 20 years of guitar was a revelation. suddenly i sounded like a real guitar player.
I wasnt very good but I made a better fist of it than this kid, and I improvised most of it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZv4mtgr0tY&feature=related
You don't play music through your amp I hope? Great way to commit MURDER!! I learned that the hard way
Hey, OLM, if you are thinking of getting rid of???? lessons thrown in?????? am listening to...... "who are you?, oo..oo.., aw who are the f... you...?" thank f.... for c.s.i. to get the kids to hear this on t.v.
I hate to be a bore but what strings do I get for my ES 335 Dot ? Can any of you recommend which would be best ? Thanks.
depends what style your playing, how you play, and how you like your strings set up. Only you can answer that question. Personally I use D'Addario's super light gauge on my LP coz they're great quality, nice sound and flexible for lots of bending.
I thought the ES was a full electric never knew it was a semi. If so you want acoustic strings or whatever... I know nothing about acoustics other than they're made of wood and got a hole in...
There is a place down Clough Rd where the music shop use to be I take my 11 year old lad for electric guitar lessons. The name of the instructor is Francis Gill he is really talented and I know he teaches acoustic as well,my lad has really improved since going if you want his number let me know.
