For those of us unable to look at the squad without a graph or chart being involved...
please log in to view this image

However, the real takeaway from this is that graphs don't stack up in reality

The most obvious example is the assumption that a player remains at their peak between 24-30, yet the reality is far from that
Victor Wanyama (29) - has been past his peak for a couple of seasons due to injuries catching up to him
Danny Rose (29) - has been past his peak for at least three seasons due to injury, fitness and lardarse issues
Christian Eriksen (28) - clearly past his peak this season and a chunk of last, seemingly because he was mentally broken by thinking his career was leading him to Barca or Los Ladrones but actually took him to Inter
Georges-Kevin Nkoudou (25) - never reached his peak due to the complete lack of football for the last three years, which becomes more apparent when you see Lo Celso and Bergwijn are younger than him

Jose supposedly happy with Tanguy’s work/ application during the lockdown and has zero intention of selling him this summer so dream’s still on for a prime Gio-Tanguy link up, guys and gals!

Reports that Jose also really likes Dennis Cirkin too and he’ll be promoting him to the senior squad next season. He has made the bench a couple times already under Jose so it seems plausible.

In the last couple days, Milinkovic-Savic, Sergino Dest (Ajax RB), Victor Osimhen and Mike Maignan (Lille ST and GK) have been linked. I don’t actually see any of these rumours coming to fruition, SMS would cost an absolute bomb, can’t see Dest coming unless we miss out on both Meunier and Aarons. Osimhen and Maignan would be the most likely considering we nicked Sacramento and Santos from Lille and so both will know a lot about the players but I still can’t see it.

Osimhen is surely a no-go as Lille have clearly positioned him as their FFP insurance, saying they wouldn't sell for anything less than £80m not so long ago

One I saw linked in the last couple of days is Greuther Furth winger Jamie Leweling, which is guaranteed to irritate people who think we should only sign known talents as not only do you need to Google his name, you also have to Google his club due to them playing in the German second tier, and to be blunt the best I can say about him is he is pretty f'n awesome on this year's Football Manager

One thing that's likely this summer is some swap deals may be happening in order to keep the spend down, and there's certainly some obvious candidates in KWP, CCV, Anthony Georgiou or Jack Clarke - especially in KWP's case, as he could be part of a deal for either Max Aarons or Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, while if we're still interested in Eberechi Eze then Clarke's already in place to be part of that deal

There’s reports saying we’ve even made a bid but I wasn’t actually taking the fee into consideration for Osimhen to be honest with regards to whether I think he’d join. More down to him being 21 and establishing himself as a top prospect in Europe to then join a team where he’d immediately be considered a backup. I do think 20/21 will be our last with Kane unless Jose can win us something so maybe Osimhen may see a season working under Kane as a bonus but in general I just don’t think we’d be best suited to him right now. Would like to be wrong though, looks a talent.

KWP involved in any Aarons deal would be ideal for all parties.

In terms of the backup option, Amiens say they're willing to let Sehrou Guirassy leave for £18m this summer, and he was linked with us at points in February-April

While he's not the flashy signing people hope for, he does have obvious positives: he's got the aerial ability to make a menace of himself, he's got the physicality to hold up the ball so Kane, Son or Lo Celso could benefit, and he's got a good goals return this season with 9 in 23 in Ligue 1 so not only could he be a useful option to have on the bench but, given the price, he could be very useful a year or two from now either as his value increased and we make a quick profit or can use him in negotiations for another player

...problem is we were all saying similar about Vincent Janssen, and that didn't exactly pan out as expected

I think Jose wants a target man so he fits the mould, a younger Llorente-type would be pretty ideal. Sod’s law we allowed Llorente to leave instead of offering a new deal, he’d have been perfect for Jose.

Amiens lodged an appeal against the decision to relegate them this season, if they’re unsuccessful I’d imagine we could get Guirassy for even cheaper.

Think quite a few have but it would seem we’re front runners as it sounds like he wants to reunite with Jose again. Plus we have Santos and Sacramento too.

Yes, but that's simply down to the autocorrect function on Sky Sports' system automatically assuming every story has to involve Man Utd

Lille Bring & Buy Sale Watch/Right Back Watch/Turk Watch
While it may be Buzzsport reporting it, so there's a good chance that it was posted for the sake of filling the hourly quota of articles, reports say that Lille are preparing to sign Strasbourg right back Kenny lala in the summer

Why is this relevant? Well, that would imply that they're expecting Zeki Celik to leave during the summer, and considering our recent track record of hoovering up Lille coaches the next step of the plan would be to start hoovering up members of their first team...actually, the next step would be to hoover up their sporting director, but you get the point

Quite a few French outlets saying we’ll be his next destination. Here’s hoping they’re right, really need a proper DoF and as someone who can seemingly please both Jose and Levy, the guy sounds ideal.

Mbappe, James Rodriguez, Bernardo Silva and Fabinho are just a few of the names the guy has helped unearth/ sell for big bucks, plus the current crop at Lille including Osimhen and Soumare who are expected to leave for big money. No doubt there’s bound to be some ****ters in his list but it’s a pretty impressive group of players to be associated with.

Just don’t be another Baldini if you arrive, please! <laugh>

There's a quote from Campos where he says his dream signings are for £3-5m, which sounds uncannily like what Frank Arnesen's brief was way back when

There's a couple of obvious drawbacks, though: the obvious one is the HG Tax, so the odds of getting a quality English youngster for £3-5m are pretty remote, for example David Brooks moved to Bournemouth for £11.5m a couple of years ago while the price quoted for Jude Bellingham is anywhere between £20-30m at the moment (hell, it cost us £10m to sign Jack Clarke last summer) - and secondly, thanks to a bunch of ignorant bellends who got duped by a bus in 2016, after this summer if we try and sign anyone from the civilised world it's going to become a monumental pain in the ass when the penny drops that we'd need work permits for any non-British player we sign that will slow the process down coupled with how, after this summer, we won;t be able to sign any EU national until they turn 18, which wasn't a problem last summer when signing Yago Santiago
