League Two vote to scrub the season Anyone seen any Crewe fans start an argument with "B-b-but..." due to them being four points clear in the automatic promotion spots?
Except they didn"t...they voted to base the final table on PPG earned so far. Of the five simplest methods for deciding placings, PPG is the only one which doesn't get us into the Europa League and also the only one which gets Arsenal into the Europa League!
One thing I saw a day or two ago, supposedly Levy has flat refused the neutral venues plan There's two ways to look at this: either he's saying that all games should be played at the venues they were supposed to be played at, or it's a diplomatic way of scuppering The FA's idiotic plans as rather than refusing to follow them instead he's creating an obstacle...which hopefully works out better than his plan of furloughing 40% of the club staff to force the PFA to stop dicking about
Looking forward to This User Is Blocked stopping by to give a take so hot that it can be compared to drinking a cup of refrigerated vomit... Also, it's worth pointing out that the HITC article made no mention of Arsenal or Chelsea also rejecting the idea, because mentioning them wouldn't get the rage clicks that our fanbase gift to articles all over the internet because our fanbase continues to be suckers for ragebait articles
As expected, top level football without crowds is absolute ****... Bundesliga: 'Bizarre, sterile and eerie' - what it was really like inside one of Germany's 'Ghost Games' https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52696930 It ain't for me. One might as well support Arsenal.
Yeah, it's weird. I watched Dortmund until they went 3-0 up, then switched to Hertha, who also went 3-0 up. Turned on the last five minutes of Leipzig and they almost lost, but it was all like a pre-season friendly, at best.
I watched the Dortmund game until half time, but to me it bore very little resemblance to proper competitive football, not just the lack of atmosphere, but the whole intensity and tempo of the game, remembering that this is one of biggest 'derbies' in German football and there was a barely a challenge of note in the 45 minutes that I watched. I don't think that I will be watching again.
It’s not proper football is it, the money men have got their way but the whole thing is just bizarre imo
Sky Sports report that almost a quarter of Premier League players have said they either feel depressed or have contemplated self-harm during lockdown, while 69% are feeling nervous about their careers and 72% admit to feelings of nervousness and anxiety So of course the best approach is to either have government ministers publicly criticise them to divert attention from their shambolic handling of this pandemic, officials and broadcasters put undue pressure upon them to get back on the pitch and entertain us, or twats on Twitter to tell them to stop complaining because they get paid £x000 per week so obviously that means they;re happy and can go back to entertaining us
It really says it all that the Premier League shareholders are the ones signing off on returning to training Just a thought, but maybe people who don't have a financial stake in getting the season back up and running are better qualified to not turn the season into a long, drawn-out LARP of The Towering Inferno?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52833725 "Home and away matches look most likely for the vast majority of games - with a few high-profile games at neutral venues at the request of the police." That's nonsense.
Neutral venue bullshit: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52846694 There's some suggestion that there are other fixtures and these are just the dirty Northern ones. Why is the Middle Eastern Oil Dictator Derby in there, though? Bizarre.
