I meant to say earlier that VAR is still alive and kicking - Leipzig game today. Nice bit of drama late on when Freiburg scored to take the lead but it was ruled out by VAR. I didn't have the sound on so, honestly, if you weren't looking in the empty stands, it was no different in terms of a viewing spectacle. If this was the PL back, I'd be over the moon.
I HONESTLY said straight away 'That's off', but I didn't know whether they're still using VAR. I heard there was a choice, though that might have been for our restart.
Although it added a bit of drama to the game in terms of result, there was zero drama from the players and ref, no holding of ear piece with pained look on face. I was horrified though when he rubbed his nose with his finger later on
Ironically (i think) considering the discussions on here over the last few days that its not a view shared by the Mayor of Liverpool
Can’t beat getting some chips with curry sauce on matchday and taking it into the ground to wash down with a pint
Players back in training tomorrow with the aim of games starting on 19th June. If it all gets played out, I wonder when next season will likely start. I haven't sat and worked out a prospective fixture list for the remainder of this season. PL clubs expected to choose an option today on which system to use if the games can't be played out. Three options being considered: ppg, weighted ppg and a further one predicting results in which from is taken into account. The club chairmen will be told today that a decision has to be made before the season restarts in case it is halted again with voting occurring at a later meeting.
