Out. My opinion only, but there it is. The tactics were rank. The word I would use for our performance tonight was Timid. Why did we abandon the midfield? As far as I could see there was a 4-4 defense with Sess and Bender left wallowing around up front surrounded by yellow shirts. And why hasn't Sess been given extra shooting practice? I am more accurate than that. There's no point in being able to what he can obviously do if he's left with the option of a medium to long range effort into row Z. Why is he up there against 4 or 5 defenders?? And Elmo didn't look like he could beat any defender. He only looked like a player towards the end when they sat back a bit and we (finally) committed players to the midfield. That gave him a bit of time and the crosses started to come. Last, but not least, I have to say that Wickham, without being particularly brilliant, looked far more comfortable on the ball than everybody else. Might as well start him if you ask me. Good sensible head on young shoulders and looks a good bet for the future. I know we've only played 7 matches this season, but if we start out that defensively against a promoted team how are we going to take any points off a determined oppo? Fuctifino...
My Word(s) Vote of no confiedence for the boss Elmo does not know his arse from his elbow and for being defensive far from it, we should have had Jack or Lee in there to let them know the midfield were up for it. We were non existant in the middle and scared at the back
BRUCE IN!! . No in all seriousness, I think if you fail to get a result against WBA then he will be gone! You do have a half decent team (which on paper should have smashed Norwich) but he is not such a brilliant motivator or tactician. Get O'Neil in and you will be ok.
Would love O'Neill right now. Talks ****e on the telly, but his record speaks for itself. And there's no passengers on his teams. With the backing that Bruce has had who knows.........?
Still say the time to decide is at the end of October - but I am starting to lose patience. Don't know why you all rate Sessegnon - I think he is totally over-rated and tonight he was GASH!!! As for Larsson - if he gets a game again, SB has lost the plot. He has no pace and the game just passes him by - time to rest him coz he is sh7te!!! Bart
O neill is not the answer we need Ancellotti here but them in charge cannot see that we keep going backwards at this club.
Bart, To be fair to Sess, he's an attacking midfielder who's 5 ft 7 being played up front and having inaccurate balls lumped in his general direction. I'm not gonna get stuck into Bruce, but i will not defend him. 3 6 foot strikers and he takes the only player who can cross in the whole side off, and leaves Elmo on. If he went, Hughes would be mt choice.
It's the hole in our midfield that did it for me. No attack in the world can function with 8 players in their own half. Half a dozen Not606ers could mark Messi out of a game with those odds.
Gardner was ****ing pathetic in there, Ricco was ****ing awful as well, the goal changes nowt, he was taking 3 touches to get moving forward with the ****ing ball.
I wonder what Bruce is going to pull out of his hat now. A return for Cattermole into the starting 11?
Winger was poor, Richardsons legs look like theyve gone. Gardner offers nowt and keeper inspires panic. As for bringing in O'Neill-- ridiculous--think of a new name -- hes old news now Im afraid. Whatever tho Bruce must go--he's lost it-- if he ever had it !!! His record speaks for 'worself'. The mans a fool
