If they weren't anti-government they wouldn't have set up their own 'counter' group. Politics seem to be coming more into play as we progress (or don't). Nothing can change what has gone, unfortunately. I can only see things descending into a scapegoating exercise when minds should be concentrated on the best way forward, nothing I've seen so far looks remotely right imo...

It'll be interesting to see who this attracts at the weekend and the Police response, there seem to be some complete pillocks out there...

I disagree with that Sooper. A couple on this group have been outspoken in the past, but it was set up very explicitly because of the lack of transparency around the official SAGE. The man who chairs this group, King, used to do Vallance’s job. Did you read any of the report? At the very least it has forced the government to publish some of the actual SAGE’s deliberations.

Just been for a wander to the shop. Traffic seems back to normal, lots of it and noticeable drop in air quality. Quite a long queue to get into the shop. I’m sure we all ‘aimed’ to wear a ‘face covering’ but only about 10% of us succeeded. I had one in my pocket but failed to put it on. Doh! No hope that 50% plus of us will download an app from these clowns.

I'm not disagreeing with the report but there are many who were vociferous against Brexit who clearly are anti-government and this is a handy opportunity. To be honest the government is doing a good enough job of f*cking things up on their own.

I actually wore a mask for the first time today in the supermarket, totally bloody useless as every time I breathed out my glasses steamed up, took them off but couldn't read the use by dates on many items. F*cking Chinese...

Can we give these protestors the option of being lab rats in exchange for their freedom.

It seems a fair compromise since they value liberty over safety.

Mind you, they'd probably think any injections or testing of tracing was an affront to their rights anyway.

That's a bit of a commitment reading that - I've managed to skim 2 pages so far.

It’s Beth’s fault, she put me on to it. Hasn’t got much press has it? I wonder why........

I think you can bluff deep knowledge based on the Executive Summary.

I've managed to bluff knowledge on a lot less than that before in fairness.

I heard it mentioned yesterday (wifey is entrenched in all the news) but hadn't seen anything myself.

I suspect it's been low key since the government follow THE science, not a science or some science. You can tell the imposters by their lack of rubber stamp from Cummings. Burn the heretics.

I bet they still shut the Orwell bridge (the bit near little old Ipswich) every time there's a moderate breeze.

Nicola “Wee Jimmy Krankie “Sturgeon is a monumental horses arse, she is only doing what she does to score political points and attempt to boost her half arsed indie ref 2 claims, that women will always go against central government no matter what or why, same as the LIEBOUR party who are in charge of the devolved government in Wales, it’s always about not agreeing with the UK government not about what’s right or wrong, this time I think she got a little lucky, not through knowing better, but through hatred of Westminster and thenTories.

Doing the opposite of the Tories would’ve been a hugely successful strategy throughout this.

Sorry old chap just replying to a comment by Stick placed on this thread, but in future will endeavour to separate my politics from my coronas and vice versa, apologies for causing you such alarm and distress in these trying times, or would you prefer me to post this on the apologies thread instead, that is as soon as someone starts one !

Further to my previous post about our wonderful Mayor it seems now Piers Morgan has turned his cannons on the hapless twat, just as TfL, already billions in the red before this virus, have apparently run out of money. Of course it's not Sadiq's fault, he always finds someone else to blame...

I'm assuming you've not seen any of her daily briefings then? I think she's more worried about saving the lives of her citizens than being bothered about not following Westminster for political point scoring or spite. The Scottish government have also chosen to follow "The Science" that you seem happy for BawJaws and co to follow down there, it's just we're a bit behind on the infection rate curve, so exiting lockdown isn't an option.

I've not heard a mention of independance from the SNP since this started, but the biggest boost she's had for IndyRef2 is the incompetance of Westminster, and the continual bullshit that gets fed from those lecturns come 5pm each day - best left for the politics thread though.
