This season is like The Simpsons: it's clearly a lost cause, but nobody wants to put their name to putting it out of its misery

Who will we get to replace them?

...I say Charlton, because I can't think of a single club who have an issue with Charlton, which obviously means they're doing something right

Not popular with Gills fans either - they pretend to be in Kent, and upset a few when they used to run a coach service on match days that picked up in the Medway towns and all around the county.

Does anyone still think the season could be voided?

If a solution can’t be found to play the remaining games that satisfies all parties, and there is enough of a threat of legal action from clubs if there was a proposal of freezing the table or using PPG, then I don’t think you can discount the possibility.

A resumption of this already farcical season will amount to nothing more than something akin to a collection of pre season friendlies, with half hearted players, a new, fudged together and fabricated routine, and the eventual devaluation of this mockery into some kind of football parody. If there was not so much money to protect, the season would have been scrubbed weeks ago. Should it resume, under the conditions being talked about, I doubt I will watch, and will be telling SKY TV the same when they try to restart my sports subscription, imitation football is not what I signed up for.

    Maybe change that to:

"If there was not so much money to protect and Liverpool were not going to win it, the season would have been scrubbed weeks ago."

I do wonder if, say, we were leading at this point (ok very hypothetical!) there would be more calls to void the season.

The most obvious reason to scrub the season is the one thing nobody dares mention: so what do most people remember about the 1972 Olympics? Here's a hint: no matter how much Mark Spitz and Olga Korbut claim otherwise, they most certainly are not what most people remember about the 1972 Olympics

There's a reason why, in a rare moment of leniency, I tried telling an obnoxiously entitled Saltypudlian that any trophy parades would be akin to this photo taken after the 1955 Le Mans

Out of context you think that it looks perfectly normal, after all somebody won the race and is celebrating - but the fact that the bodies of 84 spectators were being carried out of the circuit at the time it was taken, with several of them needing to be reassembled in the mortuary due to the high number of those people being decapitated, it really doesn't look good does it?

So yesterday golf and tennis sort of restarted for the general public and it was reported on the news how , one can't touch the opponents ball and if the tennis ball goes on to the adjacent court - kick it back.
So how will this work for football. Will the goalie be banned from spitting on his gloves?
Defender heads the ball out with his sweaty forehead, who takes the throw-in or do ball boys spray the ball with disinfectant before handing the ball back ( with gloves of course ) and then how many times do we see one player get the ball to take the throw- in, only to then leave it for another player.

I think I mentioned it a day or so ago, players are being told to turn their heads away when getting up from a tackle - which is so utterly naive to suggest it's pitiful, because if a player gets clattered they're not going to cordially get back up and walk away are they?

Let's not forget their standing by convicted wife beaters Andy Carroll and Jon Flanagan
    ...or homophobic bellend Robbie Fowler
    ...or drunk driver Roberto Firmino
