I've got no problem with using home grounds - never have. I have a problem that when we're told by the government we have to play at neutral grounds (hopefully that's changing) that some teams and pundits used that as an excuse to hit the null-and-void button.
Btw, does anybody know if anyone turned up to the Anfield Hillsborough memorial on April 15th? I know it was postponed, but the memorial is still at the ground, like.I'm wondering if Joe asked for it to be covered up for the day. Did, perhaps, people appreciate the situation, respond accordingly, and therefore there were no incidents needing additional police or ambulance staff? Nah, it's Liverpool fans - they probably had to cordon the whole area off with tanks and helicopter gunships, didn't they?
How many parking spaces are there at Goodison? Everyone's supposed to be arriving in their individual car. So that's 300 - 400 cars. Is Pickford going to walk from Walton Hall Avenue?
Parked nose to tail, probably. The fan zone wouldn’t be in use btw. Plus there’s the car park I use right the other side of that on Bullens Road where I park that takes hundreds on a matchday. #neverbeentolivefootball
Seems unlikely. You'd need valet parking and assuming they can park a car every minute that's 7 hours to park and another 7 hours to unpark them.
Absolute bollocks. If you’d ever been to a match you’d maybe understand ffs. We park nose to tail in the car park next to it. You just queue to get out if you’re at the back, and we have to wait 15 mins for the road to be opened on a matchday, which wouldn’t be a factor with no fans.........once the road opens the car park is empty within 15-20 minutes.
The car park next to it is 150 cars max. Plus fans all leave at the same time. Parking for staff that have different duties will be a mess.
No it really isn’t. I park in it every home game ffs, and pay £15 for the privilege, it’s absolutely rammed. Your desperation here is palpable and absolutely tragic btw. The entire issue is imagined anyway, as you could bus staff in if you had to (which you wouldn’t at Goodison) Staff could also park in the Stanley park car park btw, which is a few minutes walk, but there’d be more than enough at the actual ground.
