Tricky looking card at Saint Cloud. Plenty of nicely bred unraced ones and the 2.35 was the only race of interest for me.

Vienne started her career with a very promising short head second but then disappointed a bit next time. She did get off the mark on her 4th start and had Gemcutter 3 lengths back that day. She hasn't made much progress based on her RPRs so far and Rouget had a poor day yesterday and at 7/4 I could not play.

Anobar boasts some decent bits of form and arguably has the best bit of form based on her best Racing Post figure. Still a maiden after 7 starts though and the odds of 2/1 don't really appeal.

Gemcutter could improve this year but does have 3 lengths to find with Vienne. It was heavy that day though and at 8/1 she could be worth chancing given that Fabre has been in the winners enclosure recently.

Irska is interesting as a 1 from 1 player. She was unfancied at 20/1 on her only start but led all the way to defy her odds. The Racing Post rating of 80 for that effort puts her in the ball park for today and she has only had the one start so gets the nod with possibly more to come now.

In the hope that they actually ride Irska the same way from the front (Not a guarantee, as we saw with Chorba yesterday) I am anticipating that she can go from a prominent pitch today. Several jockeys held up their mounts at Longchamp yesterday and it didn't pay off chasing those who sat at the front.

I thought Irska was the value option at 5/1.

    2.35 Saint Cloud Irska 5/1

    hi lads! saint cloud,2 00:

i think, anything, that the fabre yard sends out has to be treated with the utmost respect, and so does MARE AUSTRALIS.very well bred by australia,he is 1-1 so far,and if ready to go today, should have a big say here.

well, its a bit of a lottery today, but YOUMDOR has at least been in some kind of form lately, unlike most of the others here, and even if we dont exactly know the value of the form, this one looks very likely to run a big race today.

Touchdown! Went exactly as I had hope as she led all the way. Demuro kept Vienne a lot closer to the lead than he did on some of his mounts yesterday and she was menacing looking in second place but Irska found a little kick off the front and held her off by a length and a quarter. Anobar failed to win for the eighth time now and was a but disappointing, while Gemcutter got to within a short head of reversing form with Vienne from her three length beating last time. The Fabre filly was returned 9/2 after being 8/1 this morning and that meant Irska was returned at a nice 6/1 price. I'll take that. Not sure how Irska will go on from here, as she is quite sparely made. Vienne has a lot more substance to her but the smaller filly got it done today.
