Well if there is one thing we are more sure of than before It's that Archer's is considerably more handsome than we had imagined. He could be a villain in a sixties Cold War thriller.
I think I've got it now... Stay alert. If not staying home. Stay home if not being alert. Go to work. If not working at home. Work from home if possible. If not working from home don't use public transport to get to work. Even though public transport is available. At work do work. Safely. In a socially distanced manner. Where possible. If not possible do some other thing. Don't work at work if work is closed which lots of work is because work isn't reopening if work is one of the places of work we were told to close. After work play sport and sunbathe but only with people you live with not people you work with. Unless you live with someone you work with. Or work with someone you live with. Stay alert for the alert system which will wave about madly on a dial between green and red where red means everyone is dead. If you are sufficiently alert you might be allowed to be less alert after the 1st of June. But likely everyone will go mad on Wednesday and the needle will lurch to orange so being alert will revert to stay home and it's back to March 23rd. So, stay home. No, hang on, stay alert. Not home. But you should stay home. Unless you're at work. please log in to view this image
Is it warm enough to sunbathe anywhere in the UK during the second week of May?Possibly in Tyneside where certain members of the populace wear minimal clothing even in December, but I have My doubts.
When I last went to our communal bins, Saturday, there was still a sign on the entrance warning of potential covid-19 in the building, and visitors were being turned away unless on urgent business or delivering. My supermarket delivery, yesterday, was intercepted by staff, at the front door, to stop the entry of an unknown person, which is good, with the staff then bringing the shopping to my door, then backing off when I opened the door to maintain a safe distance. This morning, my wife was looking out our window, which overlooks the rear entrance to the block, and a woman with a young child is trying to gain entrance. Not going to castigate the visitor, in case it was a mercy visit to someone suffering, but this whole business really gets you judging the motives of other people.
Second round of infections are probably already on their way. You can’t maintain a good distance inside a tube, when you have people brushing up against you as they board or alight.
Not sure what tube that is but he said Canada was rammed earlier on going north. Edit - just watched it Canning town.
Bars in Spain are being allowed to open outdoor spaces, up to 50% of their capacity, so long as social distancing is observed and no customer enters the bar for any reason, other than to use the toilet, which the bar owners have to control. All service is table service, no going to the bar to order etc. To be reviewed in 3 weeks with a potential increase to 75% of outside capacity, but only if distancing can still be maintained. All very clear and was first raised as the way forward, several weeks ago. It’s not happening because their prime minister appeared on tv, yesterday evening, and said let’s go back to work, tomorrow. It’s as a result of proper planning. Even their exercise orders were controlled, by age groups, with the elderly and vulnerable being given a 2 hour stint (11am - 1pm I think) when no other age group could be out exercising. Some governments have really tried to think it through. But getting back to the bars, I would be willing to bet that the local police and Guardia will be monitoring this very closely to ensure compliance, rather than just leave it to trust.
The tube is a pretty grimey place to be at the best of times especially after 5pm onwards. This is gona majorly tits up , what was he thinking.
In the Netherlands there's a step by step reopening listed below, I think it's to soon, vulnerable people like myself need to take extra care over and above the measures here:- https://www.rivm.nl/en/novel-coronavirus-covid-19/risk-groups I understand there were consultations with the various bodies involved a proper planned process, with greater detail available from government and other sources. From Iamexpat online:- https://www.iamexpat.nl/expat-info/...irus-press-conference-country-slowly-reopening "At the coronavirus press conference of Wednesday, May 6, Prime Minister Rutte and health minister De Jonge announced the government’s plans to slowly reopen the country, step-by-step: Basic rules The basic rules are as follows: Keep to the 1.5-metre distance rule Avoid crowds Work from home as much as possible Wash your hands often Do you have flu-like symptoms? Large events The government has not yet made a decision when it comes to holding large events, such as festivals and concerts. This decision will likely be made before September 1. Travelling Travelling is still restricted to essential travel only. Easing up this rule will also depend on other countries. Working from home The NOS reports it is likely that working from home will remain the norm for the rest of the year, as well as keeping a 1.5-metre distance from others, washing your hands and coughing in your elbows. However, the message of the Dutch government of “stay home as much as possible” has been changed to “stay home if you have symptoms”.
