I hope the guidelines for employers about safe working have been issued more successfully than the letters to high risk individuals.

My father in law, 79 with COPD, chronic asthma and heart problems is still waiting for his letter (due by end of March).

No ones done a ****ing job on me, unlike you and others I look at the big picture and make my own decisions, I don’t follow the herd and cry foul when things don’t go as I like.

Hi mate, I hope you're well.
Yesterday, we still have flights arriving from Wuhan and have had flights arriving from various hotspots around the world. Mainly Italy and Spain. Yet we're when told to stay at home and maintain social distancing when we can go out. The NHS are confronted with this virus every day, how come they're not ill from it or the old bill who work in large numbers to confront old ladies on a park bench in the middle of nowhere. It would seem that they have some kind of super immunity.

What is your obsession with herd immunity mate, it was muted and then dropped as a no no, yet for some reason you seem to think the government are secretly trying to kill of all the poor, vulnerable and old, please explain how you come to this, I’m intrigued.

OK CCJ... let’s look at this. My understanding of the Government ‘draft’ (as its not officially out there) is:
Employees socially distance – so two metres apart – from each other wherever possible
Where this isn’t possible, other measures should be taken to minimise risk, including additional hygiene procedures, physical screens and the use of protective equipment
Curtailing hot desking, keeping staff canteens closed and limiting the number of workers allowed in lifts at any one time
    Extra hygiene and cleaning measures
Guidance on personal protective equipment is currently empty in the draft and awaiting more detail

Ahhh.. so that’s what you call ’issued guidelines’ CCJ. A draft report that is incomplete.
Oh and while you’re at it... Mr Gove said ... ‘any exit of lockdown measures would be “staged” and not a single “flick of the switch” ‘. I see said all those wondering if they’re meant to be going to work tomorrow morning now.

Just as an addition.. these don’t believe you either:

Didn't you realise it was a binary situation on here?
    No middle ground apparently

We've looked at our business and how we can safely do it. Most businesses have done the same. There are many different types of businesses so many different scenarios.

Well done CCJ (and that wasn’t sarcasm). How do you know for certain you have done all that is possible? Employees need that guidance as well as you to make sure employers are doing what is right by the guidelines by their workplace - and there are many scenarios, your right. Hence ‘guidelines’.
There are other businesses not providing the right protection. Ask the NHS workers.
So where are the issued guidelines?
Business groups and unions can’t find it. Perhaps you could help them out and be their champion.
    I’m interested to know.

They’re killing an awful lot of people for a policy aimed at not killing as many people as possible. But I bow to your ability to see what I cannot.

Mate, I'm not saying it is easy. But we do need to weigh in with stuff ourselves a bit. They can't think of everything for every scenario. This is all unchartered territory.

Absolutely. Any reasonable employer would be looking to take the right steps. But we all have a legal responsibility to employees as well (just as employees have their responsibilities). That’s why the HASAW Act is there. But as you say it is is unchartered territory, and as such can leave many many people in work, and the people they come into contact out of work, vulnerable to death. Any government guidance will help protect both.

That link... did you manage to find it??

Really crazy to think that you guys are told to stay home and or adhere to strict co-vid19 regulations, yet flights are still coming in.

    It just doesn’t make sense.
ALL flights in should be banned.
Stop the flow of spread coming in.
Levels will drop, restrictions then eased.

It’s not that hard to fathom, apparently.
It worked here in Oz, so far....

Best wishes to you and your families.

Erm, every action or delay in action up to date. Releasing old folk from hospital with no checks, releasing old folk from hospital with positive tests for covid19. Letting any **** fly in unchecked and still to this day they do. What makes you think they they arent? I'm intrigued also. Vallance and co, including Boris were all over quoting herd immunity percentages, take it on the chin blah blah. Nothing has changed really. You never did read the article westwinds put up did you? That's your prerogative but the chronological order of things is really interesting. 30,000 plus deaths **** sorry as Boris said " success".
