Nice to hear a bit of potential good news for a change. Should make the forthcoming mag takeover a bit more bearable.

I'd love to say I've had the nod that it's come to a head, but I haven't.

It has been said to me, however, that 'FPP' are still there and 'will take over the club completely under the right circumstances'.

That's come from someone with, in all honesty, a vested interest but, on the other hand, no need to lie.

I'm not important enough, in his world, for him to want to impress me or for me to keep asking him questions.

The last time I texted I got 'no change!' but this time there was a ! which I took to mean 'stop asking, I'll keep you posted'.

It's frustrating because he told me loads at one time but the goalposts have shifted a bit now.

No one wants to speak out directly which I'd guess may be the reason for the leaks.

Interesting. While I've always wanted it to work out well for Donald, Short's occasional appearances have made me wonder if there's more to it all than meets the eye.

    4. Being absolutely terrible at running a large football club

Financially he seems to have done well but when you take all the money you’ve saved and throw it at Will Grigg it’s all for nothing.

He’s simply not good enough to own a football league club

I have absolutely no reason to doubt the veracity of your post and have no intention of. I don’t get to hear anything as I am just a simple Jarra lad. But one thing that really has been bugging me over your last two posts, one thing that I don’t fully understand. I know FPP are still hanging around due to the loan and that, I am hoping to hell that SD has the best intentions to sell us to the best people possible. I have no doubts that SD is in a sticky situation where he may just break even, but my one burning question is, how the **** do you go from Lawe Top to Whiteleas for ****s sake

Never a good start when my attention as administration for the site, gets diverted to a new account.

    Calm down please.

I agree with you, but their intentions don't change the value of the club. If they'd got the promotion they could have left the 25m in the club AND made their desired profit from a potential takeover in the championship. If they'd got investment in and retained a stake, they could have made even more.
Supporters would obviously have been extremely happy.

Yes, they now appear to be chancers but they were so very close to making everyone happy.

Nah, he probably ended up with what the club was broadly worth, regardless of how the purchase was funded.

The due diligence would have to have been done since covid, realistically. Unless FPP did that - and we didn't have any indication that they did - that would make this a difficult one to get excited about.

There are so many illogical things about this potential £10m deal when you think about it. The timing is atrocious for everyone and although FPP might think the price is better, it's only by a net £5m or so, which will be absorbed undoing Donald's new appointments, appointing their own hierarchy to run us and keeping reserves in place for next year.

I don't know. Something is weird here, I don't get why this would drop now, and as much as I think they're sometimes wrong, surely smug's sources would be happy to drop him a text if this was actually happening now. They do act in good faith, and if a deal was agreed...

This is classic wind-up whatsapp territory isn't it? Whenever we're in flux, people post some elaborate ITK ****e claiming to know the details of something that's imminent.
