Oh dear, do you honestly believe it’s all a Tory scam to rid the country of poor people to preserve rich people’s wealth.
True, but some morons in this country seem to be hell-bent on making us a front-runner in who is the worst
It's a policy to deliver a mixed message and get people back out to work, when we're clearly not ready to exit the lockdown
Let me guess, In your opinion these morons just happen to be Boris and the government, not the scientists advising them.
In my opinion it's the stupid ****s out having street parties and dancing with each other, whilst knowing that the virus is still prevelent in the community. I'd assume non-morons would look at these idiots and go "For ****s Sake" - especially people who have family members who are at risk (that isn't meant as a dig pal)
Possibly, but if you can work without risk, ie social distancing etc, is it not better to work than sit at home thus supporting yourself and the economy, yes we are as a country not ready to exit lockdown as such, maybe the assholes in the park in Hackney yesterday should be forcibly returned home and fined massively and if necessary be refused treatment if they become infected, in the war a self inflicted wound was severely punished. Maybe people should start being aware that prevention as always better than the cure.
Not taken as a dig mate, yes I agree people that continue to flout the lockdown should be heavily fined even tagged and placed under house arrest, my bad I just assumed that like some on here you were firmly in the Blame Boris and the government group because everybody else is.
At the end of the day he is in charge Turkish and has not covered himself in glory. I have stated before that a large swathe of the UK population have no respect for the law, no respect for each other and will not be told what to do. I seriously doubt that they would pay the fines and I doubt we are talking about a small number here. Those people who were out doing a conga yesterday will be on their doorsteps clapping on Thursday night and will see no irony in their actions!
Who else is there to blame for the complete and utter balls up that has made us one of, if the not worst countries in the world handling this pandemic. I agree though, boris shouldn't get any stick cos in reality he has literally done **** all
We’ve seen enough photos from some other point in time, when sitting in the park wasn’t a crime, and pictures that have been manipulated to visually compress everyone in it or remove the empty space between them. I was in the park for a couple of hours yesterday with my kid, my dog, my sister and her mob. We kept our distance. We played in the woods, we played on bikes and kicked a ball around, we lay on the grass and soaked up the sun. A reckon a couple of hundred others were there doing the same, collecting free doses of the valuable vitamin D and living as humans are inclined to. Didn’t see any ridiculously large groups of people, didn’t see any groups impinging on another group’s space, although with the right camera lens and an ulterior motive, I could have condemned my local neighbours. Maybe we’re just that level of intelligence above the stupid ****s of Hackney, 7 miles to the easy.
Just a few observations locally: Yesterday we went for a walk around Crystal Palace Park, about 3 miles round the perimeter. The place was rammed, at one corner there were groups of people coming out of a car park with cool boxes and blankets, out on the grassed areas there were groups of 8 or more all over the place, as we exited there was a large queue at an ice cream van with little spacing. On Friday my next door neighbours had a BBQ, about 20 people in their garden, there are no more than 8 living there. My other neighbours have had a weird set-up. He is a bus driver she is fairly housebound with health issues. At the start of lockdown she went to stay at her mother's and took their 13 year old daughter. He stayed at home with their 16 year old son. After two weeks she returned home for a couple of days and then left taking their son. He has continued to drive for TfL throughout but spends at least 2 nights a week at her mothers. With his job and her health you'd think he'd see the danger. Every day I am out I see so many people just not giving a f*ck and obviously thinking it can't happen to them, that probably more than anything is why our infection rates remain alarmingly high. Any softening of an already wishy-washy lockdown will make everything we've been through worthless...
Boris has at all times acted on advice from the scientists in this, people need to remember he’s a f*cking politician not a Nobel prize winning authority on a pandemic.
House arrest Ha It's where they are meant to be anyway A couple of show trials would put a stop to em
Quite a lot going on isn’t there? Thank goodness that, to keep us all sane and full of community spirit, the Sunday Times feels it’s the right time to publish its orgy of greed and envy the Rich List! Yes I know some of them give a lot to charity. And some probably pay what they should in taxes as well. I hope next year the fearless investigative reporters who always dreamt as teenagers of a career writing about rich people can tell us which of these people actually made money out of the pandemic. Sunday Times also publishes a short essay by Albert Camus, allegedly translated for the first time, advice for doctors dealing with a plague. Camus is my ultimate hero, bar none. The Times cleverly spots that the essay, a precursor to his book, The Plague (which is selling in record numbers) is not really about a plague, but an allegory about the occupation of France by the Nazis. It’s about rather more than that, but never mind. Highly recommended for all fellow absurdists, but I don’t think it is of special relevance to the pandemic.
Certain people aren't. It will be the same anywhere. Choosing to hate the whole country? It is a bit strange in my opinion.
How do you know he has acted at all times upon advice? If he has as you say then do you think he should be questioning that advice considering we have the worlds worst death per million ratio. Followed by Sweden who similar to us didnt really have a lockdown either.
Honestly some people just cant see the woods for the trees!! Boris didnt even attend the first 5 cobra meetings. That's how seriously he took this pandemic. He's proving to be the worlds worst leader regarding this pandemic.
