Yeah, of course he has. And I think he's been, if not bloody stupid, very naive. He's backed himself into corners over and over and left himself with no option but to lie his way out. Even I don't think he's good owner. I don't think he's done it out of malice though. Thinking back to those early podcasts and how he was on STID (which admittedly might be an act) he seems to really care. Which is partly why I'm not up in arms about all this and getting my pitchfork out. The other reason is that the latest stuff doesn't seem to really matter that much in the grand scheme things. I'd rather he just found someone decent to sell it to and left without all this fuss.
If memory serves me right, didn't Donald say on one of the earlier podcasts that he lost money with Eastleigh and this was a way of clawing that money back with a bit on top?
The guy is simply way out of his depth. He is a moderately successful insurance salesman.....the end.
If you set out to lie to thousands of people you should be good at it ... ... Donald can't even get that right. It's really quite patronising to believe you can fool so many people, either that or he just doesn't care. Once FPP came along he was shown up to be way out of his depth.
Might be wrong but I'd take that with a pinch of salt at this point. I'd be (happily) amazed if anything happens with them at this point. Not saying they aren't still involved / interested but I don't think a cut price deal will be on the cards at the minute
What did Donald pay for us, £12 million ? What has he done to be able to demand a higher price for it now?
Donald himself said that he will be judged by who he sells to, and in whos hands he leaves us in. IF he sells to FPP i will be very happy. If he sells to someone like Campbell (Who i don't know, but when he failed to buy Falkirk, it leaves alarm bells ringing) I will be well pissed off with him. He is gonna have to come out with a statement to explain some of these accusations. I have always been quite supportive of the bloke, but if he ****s us over for cash, he won't be remembered in a good light. I can't see him enjoying what is happening ATM and i have a feeling he will be wishing he sold before this other **** storm Virus had happened
Yes he did, which if he made a success of things here I don't think people would begrudge him it. But making a pig's ear of it and making us worse and still expect to do that is taking the piss.
the lad is saying it’s now £10m. as with everyone it’s got to the point any old crap is hung onto in the hope it’s true
I heard last night that fpp are finally taking over. SD is up **** creek without a paddle and is desperate to sell. He had been trying to hold out and hope we get promoted but with the season as good as over due to covid 19 and no promotion has put paid to that. The news about the black hole in the accounts was picked up back in the summer and obviously fpp although wealthy were not about to be ripped off and were not willing to pay the ridiculous amount SD wanted. SD at the time was saying he had not changed the price! Well he was (correct) this is what Nixon etc have been going on about when referring to the price putting buyers off. Not sure as to how the loan came about as was not informed but would imagine it was fpp realising SD was out his depth and were prepared to play the waiting game as they knew once any interested parties wanting to buy the club would find the black hole and then also have to pay nearly an extra £10 million. I really do hope the info is correct and have no reason to doubt the source. I just hope its finally the end of the chancers
He has done nothing.....what he did do, was gamble on the club gaining promotion, I didn't happen and he is up financial **** creek
Virtually word for word what I was told. In a nutshell FPP wanted a full takeover and there was no cosy agreement with Donald to 'invest in him' or take the club to the PL. FPP took advice, from actual football people, who know a million times more than Donald will ever know. They don't need Donald at all, there are much better people than him who'd have got the club back up in the first season.
