Clubs in Leagues One and Two will be told next week it’s impossible to finish their seasons and clubs will vote how to decide places... via @mjshrimper
About time too, will help them plan ahead in a difficult time. No point in paying to extend contracts beyond June Reckon same will happen with Championship before too long.
More substitutes and option to stop VAR when football season resumes https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52592431
I can’t work out why more substitutes is a good idea? Surely that’s just more people to have to test? Or am I missing something somewhere?
I think it’s cos they’ll have to play games close together so the poor little lambs will get exhausted
There normally is a match day squad of 18 players, there still will be. The difference is five subs instead of three can be replacements.
Jamie Carrager’s desperation to continue the PL is becoming really embarrassing. Every opportunity on Sky, on Twitter or in his newspaper columns, he’s attacking the clubs against the continuation idea for having an agenda, all whilst pushing his own/Liverpool’s agenda. If they’re awarded it (and clearly they would have won it otherwise), it’ll always be “that league they were given because of Covid” and won’t be remembered for how they actually dominated the league over the season. Not sure id want that if it were for our club.
I thought similar a few weeks ago: give them the league title and then forever everyone can tell them that they didn't really win it and it shouldn't really count. It'd drive the bin dippers mental.
It’s already started on Twitter... fans of other clubs saying it’ll be a * on their record so they’re biting and now tryna * other teams previously won leagues.
Yet another change that benefits the elite few teams that can afford to have world class players on the bench.
Am I understanding correctly that you will only be given 3 stoppages to make all 5 subs, to stop clubs using 5 stoppages simply to waste time?
