At the sharp end... I can tell you that raw material for masks etc is now becoming under pressure in China... acrylic is in massive short supply (think sneeze screens etc) ... bottles 50ml, 100ml, 250m; etc cannot be bought readily and larger companies are back ordered to July... in short, even if UK production was set up, where would they get raw material from..

    That’s true
Needs to be a Govt national programme, but as they’re doing exactly that now it’s not exactly a big leap to doing it longer term.

Italy has become the first country in the European Union to register more than 30,000 coronavirus-related deaths, according to the Beeb Online.

Who are becoming more and more like the ****ing Mail Online by the day.

I mean, what with all this hoo-ha going on I must have missed us actually completing the laughably labelled transition period cutting us out of the gravy train club.

    Who knew?

Italy has a lot more excess deaths than us though.

Who knows wtf is going on anywhere in the world. One thing is for sure the current figures mean absolutely **** all. They’re full of holes and entirely inadequate to draw any conclusions from.

It's fine, that's all lined up to kick us in the knackers on December 31st. Though I think trade negotiations have been happening via Skype or whatever.

Environment Secretary George Eustice says the government are launching a “new £16m fund to support front-line food charities” to help deliver food to vulnerable people during the coronavirus pandemic.

Do you think that’s to replace the food the Govt is currently delivering direct to people who are shielding?
If it is £16m won’t go very far.

"The cash is separate to the £750million pot previously announced by the Chancellor Rishi Sunak to help charities, and will help those in both rural and city settings who are struggling to afford or access food."

It is indeed, as long as it wasn’t replacing the national deliveries.
If it had been then it would be much less than they were doing (hence me asking)

Question ... my Mum and Dad had a delivery form Morrisons, basic essentials about 4 weeks ago, they've had nothing since... are anyone else parents getting deliveries...?... I wonder how Morrisons are logistically showing they have done what they're supposed to be...
