    How can you look at that table and not award promotion to Coventry? The other places are more difficult but competitions are often decided on close margins and that still has more integrity than ignoring 34 weeks worth of games.

    Shows what you know about League One, most of the teams up in that area of the table had been top of it at some point during the season, right down to teams such as Wycombe and Ipswich, with greater points differences to. Just because they've gone top did not mean they was going to stay there, and if you did it on recent form, say last eight games, Peterborough could well argue they should be one of two teams going up, not Rotherham or Oxford. And as an aside to that, Rotherham have the same PPG as my lot over the last eight games, and if it was done on that basis, my lot would be fifth and should have a play-off place <whistle>

    Walker is a total self centred ****. And if his family get ill because of it it isn’t just on them, it’s on the paramedics, nurses and doctors who have to treat them as well as anyone else they may then infect. Not sure why you’d defend him tbh. He’s clearly a dick.

    And yeah mate I know I’ve won, your rage is too obvious bro. This discussion isn’t even about Liverpool <laugh>

    Anyway just thought I'd take a look at Darragh MacAnthony's twitter account, the Posh chairman who don't hold back on his words. He's pretty up front...

    3 points from 2nd place. Best goal difference in our league. 9 games left, 5 at home (with one of best home records in league) and we play 7 games I think against 7 of bottom 11 clubs. And
    @EFL
    & these owners think
    @theposhofficial
    will take these alleged decisions about to -

    Noted that a discussion between @brb and me about L1/2 has been jumped on by Kopites assuming that it somehow relates to them.

    Nice circular reasoning. You think LFC fans only care about themselves, therefore if they are talking about something you assume it's because they think it's about themselves.

    Yet again: we all know we're getting the PL so nothing we discuss is influenced by that. It's over.

    As for whatever league Coventry are in, the table that was posted is interestingly close, but sport is usually decided on close outcomes anyway. If it's not possible to play games then IMO just follow the standard procecure as closely as possible (yes it's not perfect, but it's a crisis so get over it); PPG to determine the positions (automatic promotion and relegation), for the playoff positions generate the fixtures as usual and use the head to head results to find who goes through.

    No one can ever argue that a solution that simply ignores 34 game weeks has any sporting integrity.

    I think that, as it’s demonstrably true.

    As for arguing about the ‘integrity’ of promoting sides separated by a whisker in a league with 10 games left, just have a listen to yourself, you one eyed gimp. You’re sticking your fat beak in as you’re worried about the potential precedent, you disingenuous gobshite.

    You exercised your thought process to me quite clearly. You chose Coventry as deserved promotion, without any understanding of how that league has progressed during this season. Go find Darragh MacAnthony's account on twitter, he'll give you plenty of reasons why it shouldn't be like that. My guess is you chose Coventry because it was a recognised past big name, I wonder if those thoughts would have been the same, if the name had been Wycombe, who had been leading for a fair amount of weeks.
