Is there any other options for you Hank? Can you not have a video chat with the councillor?

Maybe even just call a helpline of some sort. They might not know you as well but just having a different person to talk to might make all the difference.

Volunteering is an amazing thing to do mate, but you can't help others without looking after yourself first.

Stress is a bastard and it causes you to feel so much worse than you usually would. Try to find ways to remove the stress and the way that you feel will pass. It's just temporary Hank, it won't feel this way forever. Sooner or later you'll get back to your old self enjoying life.

Maybe give the local docs a ring in the morning, though. They're professionals and will have helped 100's of people who are in the same situation as you.

Ha way Hank pull yourself together.

The booze brings the depression on. Go another 12 hrs sober and things will start to feel a bit better for you.

    Morning Hank, morning everyone.

Hank, have you tried speaking to friends, family, the doctor or even a helpline?

Video calls on Skype or facetime to your mates?

Maybe try and write it down on here? There's a lot of good people who post that will have better advice or might want to share what they are going through.

Think the cabin fever is getting to us all. I can't wait for things to go back to normal. Keep plodding on and we'll get there xx

    . Morning all ...

... another day strimming, ill be glad when the staff are back!

On the bright side all 5 Robin eggs hatched and the mum likes the feeding station we set up.

It's old bits of chicken mixed with squished banana ...

.... the idea wa that it would become maggot ridden but she keeps scoffing it

That’s great, I love owt like that!
We’ve got a pair of blackbirds in the garden, very tame, they even come to me when I hoy bits of food for them.
Watched them build the best, lay the eggs, and I could walk up to the nest at watched while they sat on them. A couple of days ago, they hatched and I watched them feeding. Two hours later, I went back to the nest and there was nowt in. Cat, crow or magpie had them. I was honestly gutted.

    Nature's cruel mate.

We had the same with a nest of blue tits in a dry stone wall.

The Jays kept watching until the chicks were big enough to make a decent meal ...

... we heard a noise and rushed out to see them being carted off.

    Nature is cruel.

I've got blackbirds living in my garden. One day Mrs Blackbird was going absolutely apeshite sitting on the fence shrieking like mad. I looked out and saw a sparrowhawk sitting in the border happily munching his way through Mr Blackbird. I felt really sorry for her but also amazed at having a bird of prey in my garden!

Aye, quite distressing! There was a sparrowhawk eating a dove in our garden last year. Mrs Sombrero rang me at work in tears, don’t know what she expected me to do?
She’s very kind though, she left the remnants for me to clear up.
