Joking aside, it would feel like a huge mockery of the nhs etc. if they resume playing while people are still dying - it sends the message that everything is fine.

How can you have sport, when hospitals are short of masks/gloves/sanitizer.

I'm still working in hospitals and in quite a few places they're down to one squirt of sanitizer per person. To funnel resources to the premier league would be mental.

If the virus is bad enough to close the country, it's bad enough to stop football.

This is pretty much my opinion too. If the season is scrubbed and there is no European football next season, everyone has been treated fairly. Lets see if Lyon are good enough in 20/21 to get a European place. No relegations and no promotions is the most equitable solution and everyone will be treated the same. I suppose that would also mean that the Saints 9-0 reversal at home to Leicester would also get kicked in to touch which would be great for the record books. What is there not to like?

So **** everyone else but still give PSG the league? What was the point In even starting the season to start with then. Infact **** it just crown them champions for the upcoming season aswell, and the one after that. Basically what you're saying?

No, just scrub the whole season no champions, no relegation, no promotion , not European qualification. It is harsh on teams like Liverpool and Leeds whereas teams who have been poor will get off the hook. Overall, it means everyone gets treated the same.

A consortium of ex footballers, consisting of Denis Bergkamp, Ronald Koeman, Dirk Kuyt, Henrietta Larsson, Phillip Cocu, plus football agent Rob Jansen are interested in buying an English club.
Bergkamp said to be interested in a hands on role of shaping the pathway of young players from academy to first team.
They came close to acquiring a club, last year but clearly didn’t.
I wouldn’t mind having someone with Bergkamp’s footballing skills having some impact on our young players, if they were to come our way, although it might cast some doubt over Ralph’s future.

A star studded line up of egos, there's been some well documented clashes over here in the Netherlands at club and national levels where the team performances suffered from the infighting.

just seen this pop up on Facebook - I posted it in 2011 when football still mattered.

"Saints to do the job at Plymouth today, and send them crashing down into league 2 - Saints promotion virtually assured if we do so COME ON YOU SAINTS"

I was on holiday in Cornwall at the time, and Plymouth being the local “big” club, I managed to find the match on BBC Radio Cornwall, which was nice!

My Dad is an Argyle fan, so there was always a bit of spice to that fixture. He's not as quick with the abusive text messages as my 82 year old, Burnley fan Mum though

That Plymouth game is the only away game I’ve been to. I was at Uni in Plymouth at the time and my parents planned a trip down to see me to coincide with the game. It was a fun one! It became apparent there were quite a few Saints fans in the home end too because they stayed at the end to celebrate. I was bang in the middle of the away end, and you can see me and my parents celebrating the second goal in the footage of the game. Made the season review dvd too <diva>

The EFL are threatening to sue the Premier League, if they rule out relegation, preventing promotion.
It’s all going to get very, very messy, with solicitors getting very, very rich.
EFL also want parachute payments eradicated, to eliminate the advantage they give to relegated clubs.

Issues in Germany already. One team has said they can't fulfill the fixture on the opening day as the squad and staff are isolating for 14 days.
