On loan for a month. What a waste of a brilliantly spirited player! I hope someone will snap him up in January and he'll join the list of players like Billy Clarke at Blackpool and Jordan Rhodes at Huddersfield who make a mockery of the short shrift they've been given by ourselves.
Spot on with brilliantly spirited player, and what a tremendous attitude. However I have to say this player is not going to make it with us, and I suspect not with any other team in the championship. His one big asset is his speed, but his marking, player awareness, and reading of the game is appalling. If he was a player of any repute, we would hear his name mentioned, regarding transfers, I have never heard of any such rumours. Good luck to him at Bournemouth, hope it goes well for him, and he finds the level he is suited to. Jordan Rhodes, again has never been proven at championship level, okay did well last season at Huddersfield, but that was the first division, a big gulf from the championship. Notice this season he has not done so well. Billy Clarke has only started a few matches this season, and was substituted in all of them, the rest of the matches he was on the subs bench.
I think Peters could be a decent player at this level especially used on the right wing. Truth seeker I think your being a little harsh on Rhodes as he has not played that much but I recall him scoring a couple of times. And Billy Clarke has been out for a whole year with an injury so they're probably easing him back in, what I've seen of him in matches he looks pretty decent, he's set up a couple of goals with some pretty good passes. All 3 have talent we just seem to have not been able to get the best out of them in terms of Clarke and Peters so perhaps it is/was the right time for them to move on but Rhodes never really go the chance to impress which I thought was a terrible decision.
I think he is an ok player nothing special getting games might do him some good..........Still got the rose tinted specs focused on Rhodes i see.............as for Billy Clarke i think he is a half decent player.
Clarke should never have been dropped from the first team let alone sold. He was brilliant on the left side of our midfield under JM. Would still prefere to have Peters at RB if Im honest, again I dont really see why we dropped him. Rhodes I would have liked to have seen him stay but I can understand why we let him go and keep Wickham. I dont think we could have reallistically kept 2 young and inexperienced strikers happy so we sacrificed 1 and made £10m on the other.
" I hope someone will snap him up in January and he'll join the list of players like Billy Clarke at Blackpool and Jordan Rhodes at Huddersfield who make a mockery of the short shrift they've been given by ourselves. " Really, thats what you believe ? He's played under FOUR managers here, Royle / Magilton / Keane + Jewell. Under not 1 has he really played 15 games in a row, doesn't that tell you something ? A lot of hype, has in all honesty delivered very little and has had plenty chances. Not good enough on the wing to beat a man and whip a great ball in, not strong enough to be a class full back = move on....! Nice lad / good attitude, not the long term solution, good luck Jaime good servent.
Well my Mrs is absolutely gutted that Peters has gone to Bournemouth! He was her favourite player especially after he took the time to pose for a picture with my son before the Swansea game last year!
While Peters is on of my favourite players at the club I think him moving on is best for all parties. He was nowhere near the first team and who knows if he sets the world alight at Bournemouth he it may help his cause when/if he returns. It is though a real shame it hasnât worked out, I remember al the hype about him when we signed him with the reports the Chelsea and Man U were after him as wellâ¦.
Westlake - he put not a foot wrong at right back under Keano by comparison with Edwards and particularly Colback who when converted to full back looked hopelessly lost. Peters has never been given a decent run in his best positions and whenever he has played in attacking positions he's provided a spark and scored some goals. I am not saying i'd keep him because I don't think he has an ounce of confidence left - I'm saying I hope he gets what he deserves and moves on to bigger and better things.
AFC Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury on Peters after their game against Hartlepool: "Jaime Peters had a good afternoon, he's versatile and got a lot of pace. He's not played any first team football this season but he gave me a good 75 minutes and I was pleased with his overall performance."
