PSG crowned champions Ligue 1 with latest rankings, final rankings. CL: PSG, Marseille, Rennes EL: Lille, Reims, Nice Relegated: Toulouse, Amiens Promoted: Lorient, Lens
UEFA have no say in it. Their only concern is that the CL and EL places are awarded on earned merit which they have been.
Only if we copy what France have done. They used ppg I believe. There's no common approach being shown across Europe which was to be expected as each country is at a different stage re. the virus. German government meeting today to discuss their decision with players already back in training.
I'm still utterly bemused by the logic of we can't finish this season off under the current restrictions, but can start next season under them. And I simply can't get my head around the logic of you have to null and void it now to save lives, but ppg will apparently murder captain Tom and what's left of our over 70's. But if it can't be finished and we have it awarded with an asterisk I have absolutely no problems whatsoever with that. 25 ****ing points clear? The only relevant asterisk should be next to the current Prem points record holders to indicate it would have been smashed had Liverpool been allowed to play out their remaining games. You actually have null and voiders and Manc/BS journos saying 'Ah, but Liverpool wouldn't want the title knowing their rivals will just dismiss it as a gift'. ****ing try us - utterly don't give a flying **** if anyone wants to make a complete dick of themselves by pretending Liverpool didn't thoroughly earn it. But let them re-assure each other. Cba.
Got to laugh at a lot of online trolls in the Express, Mail and Mirror who were salivating at the idea of the French starting an unstoppable domino effect of null and void; ****, they're hysterical now trying to find reasons why ppg doesn't save as many lives as null and void does!
There's enough online trolls on the PL board of this forum without going looking for more. Transparent as ...... I think football fans, and I don't include the voiders in that, can look and see how the German approach goes in terms of whether or not football comes back in the next few months. I don't think though that whatever they do in terms of ending the season will necessarily be copied. Every country will have a different approach, almost guaranteed.
Liverpool FC statement LFC As a club, we are aware of and disappointed by comments attributed to Mayor Joe Anderson in a media interview which was published today. As well as a lack of evidence to support such claims, we would also point to recent discussions with Mayor Anderson relating to the possibility of any behind-closed-doors football, which concluded that it is important that key stakeholders across the city continue to engage and work collaboratively. In recent weeks, we have engaged with supporters’ groups who have informed us of their determination to respect social distancing measures and, in the event of a resumption of football being announced, we would continue to work with them and other key stakeholders in keeping with our collective desire to achieve this crucial objective. As part of our ongoing operations, we are in regular contact with the Mayor and his office and we hope these conversations can continue. In the meantime, our primary focus remains responding to the humanitarian crisis which continues to unfold and in particular providing ongoing support to various NHS initiatives and those experiencing food poverty and social isolation. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/announcements/394555-liverpool-fc-statement-april-30-2020
Regular contact with the Mayor, who I bet won't hold his hands up to the fact that Moise Kean had a party during lockdown
Maybe it will encourage #smallclubs to actually try against Man City instead of rolling over until they face another #smallclub
You cheeky ****er Every lower team literally rolled over for you except Watford and when they tried you just couldn't handle them
Who has actually said that mate? You seen to lump everyone who has a differing opinion in with the extremes of the opposite side. There's very few people now saying null and void and that you shouldn't get the title. I am completely against them restarting the season though, and I'm not convinced we'll be able to start next on time either.
Aguero is frightened of resuming playing football. In other words, he's not arsed. I wonder if he'd be quite so scared if citeh were 25 points clear
Portugal now have plans for back to training. I wonder if we will see a European league completed before Autumn. There's a very strong desire to return from some European leagues.
