Apparently Pearson has extended his contract till the end of the season ..if there is one. It was due to run out in May. Good move on his part. Ties him up till the end of the season but he doesn't have to commit for there after. He will want assurances and some control over new players etc for the future.
Le Havre midfielder Pape Gueye has signed a pre-contract agreement with Watford and will join this summer on a free transfer, the Watford Observer understands. Reports emerged from France this afternoon suggesting that the player had signed a pre-agreement at the start of the year, committing to five years with the Hornets once his current deal with Le Havre expires this summer. And, despite the player's representatives denying those claims earlier this afternoon, it is now understood that a deal is in fact in place for the player, who had the remainder of his season cancelled earlier today. Gueye is a 21-year-old French midfielder who featured 26 times for the Ligue 2 club during the season interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. He was also a target for both Marseille and Arsenal.

I presume this new guy cannot play for the rest of this season IF it gets going as the squads are already in place?
The Clean Air Act came in in 1956 and the picture was later. Think it was just a normal summer day because there is still grass on the pitch, leaves on the trees, and most players in shorts. Probably a spot of Scotch mist that had wandered a bit far from home.
It was taken 4-5 years before my arrival in Watford - and it hadn't cleared by then. I can remember days just like that, when I used to trudge unwillingly through Cassiobury Park towards school, trying to dream up ways of escaping the damned place.

Stuart hutchison on Twitter, whose main claim to fame is ...... Two out of three penalties past Eric Steele at the 1980 Junior Hornets Open Day. Cos my club led the fight against hooliganism back in the day and currently has given over its entire stadium as some sort of NHS recovery centre but if you’re sitting there in 6th or 11th place lecturing us on doing the right thing then please continue we really are all ears....
I find most fans are quite happy to see the season void or wait for the situation to get better... Apart from the obvious!
I agree. John Barnes is very vocal on Twitter about starting the season again in fact he is becoming a bore. I still think the best result is to void the season, but take in the top two from the Championship. When you see that many organizations such as theatres are not expecting to reopen before 2021, then I cannot believe that football should be so different. Sitting in a theatre seat might be indoors, but you are just as likely to have someone sitting on your lap in a football ground.
Only needs another idiot like this in this country and any idea of playing games will probably be under threat. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52524677
