Every time I've had any contact I've been firmly told there's no change and that's about all.

That means, to me that they've never been away.

I'd imagine that someone with £9 million of my money, under strict terms, would be getting a regular call.

It's beyond ludicrous that Donald would borrow money, he doesn't need, just to hold for a while then give it back.

If you can explain that I'm all ears.

I just asked you because if they were actively negotiating now and you'd heard that it was happening, it would obviously indicate that they were trying to do more.

But if it's still 'nothing has changed' it probably means that it isn't them. Just being realistic. They did a deal and there's absolutely no reason for them to be negotiating anything with Donald if nothing has changed, because they could own a stake in the club without negotiation.

It's a lot more complicated than simply 'a price' as far as I've been told.

Donald and Methven could put an end to all of this endless conjecture but they know that a sale would 'rob them' of large amounts of money and kudos.

They'll never ever again have their hands on a club this size and they know it ...

... they need SAFC much much more than we need them.

They will go down as the duo that destroyed the chance of safc having some big time ambition and wedge behind them due to their greed.

Fair enough if that's the case, just saying there's no new info by the sounds of it.

The only new info I have is that various groups have approached Donald and one has asked to see the books.

I was told, by someone I know but who was told independently, that's helped delay them being released.

He's in finance and I'm not so I don't even know if that's feasible.

The only 'news' I have about FPP is that nothings changed.

I would hate it if Mike Ashley took over the club....but I would imagine our club would be in a much healthier financial position after he left then when he took over..and I would also imagine he would get so much out of showing the middle finger to Mag fans if we actually did ok especially at such close quarters.

We’ve got less chance of going bust with Ashley, but it would be hard going with Sports Direct stickers clagged everywhere

Me neither, but as i cant stop him, if he wanted to buy the club, and established us as a premier league team, i wouldn't hold it against him.

    I hate Mike Ashley.

But I mainly hate the idea of taking their old owner on. He may not like them, but it's an unnecessary link to Newcastle that would be negative for us imo. Particularly in the court of public perception, us as a working class area embracing someone like him as a saviour would be a distasteful part of football.

There are more important things than a competent owner. I hope Newcastle fans remember that when their owner is chopping off his subjects' heads.

This from Twitter. As we know there are 2 'SAFCs' ...

... this is the football side of things.

Confirmation from Companies House that Jim Rodwell has been appointed as a director at #SAFC.

Just been reading how Charlton are in a lot of **** with their new owner and could go the way of Bury.

I'm thinking back to all those people who were saying that "If Charlton can be bought for 50 million then why can't we?"

A lot of those demanding that SD sells up may want to consider the old phrase "It's better the devil you know".

They were bought, like Bury, for a quid with the promise of that money coming in ...

... since then there's more money gone out than come in.

The EFL are a f**k**g disgrace.

It looks like admin for Charlton and we should be looking at players we should buy, sorry but it's true.

If it was a straight up choice between Stew Nice But Dim and Ashley I’d say Ashley because he’s far more likely to make the decisions that get us promoted

But that’s mainly because I think Stew’s a dead duck
