All the blame falls on WHO - first they said it couldn't transfer human to human, - then they said there was no need to stop flights - then they were too late declaring a pandemic - but worst of all they let the dogs out

She's been referred to as Boudicca quite widely for some years now. I don't know why the change came about, it was always Boadicea up until then. I read somewhere that it should always have been Boudicca but Boadicea came along as the result of a medieval typo!

So now I have to learn how to pronounce 'Boudicca'?

It's not a name I've used often tbh.

Do you all sit around a table in the pub discussing Boudicca/Boadicea often?

Lockdown getting to you, so you thought it was a good idea to bring it on here?

Me being a key worker, I've got more important things to do :emoticon-0103-cool:

Medieval typo. Tell the alchemists to bin the metal to gold nonsense and crack on with tipex.

A friend of my son and daughter-in-law had a child 8 years ago and named their daughter Boadicea, pronounced Boodicca, why burden your daughter with such a name , crazy, it runs in their family though the mother's name is, Artimesia. WTF.
It brings to life Johnny Cash's song, A boy named Sue.

Somebody I know works in one of the McDonalds in Hull. They received an email yesterday to say the rumours of them opening in two weeks (currently circulating on Facebook) are untrue though tests and trials are ongoing to safely open the stores soon.

Did they have typewriters in Mediaeval times?

Well at least Boudicca/Boadicea is a girl's name, unlike the names Americans give their daughters.

Oooh ooh, an excuse for an old joke.

Jim and Fred had been mates for over 80 years, when Fred sadly passed away.

The night of the funeral, Jim hears a familiar voice as he lay in his bed.

"Jim, it's Fred, can you hear me?"

Jim sat up shocked. "Fred, is it really you? Oh, I've a million questions. What's it like on the other side? Is there football?"

"Well Jim, I've some good and some bad to tell you. The good news is that there is football. I'm free of all my ailments, and playing with the ease we had as kids. All of our old friends who died before us are here, too. Better than that, we're all young again. Better still, it's always spring time and it never rains or snows. And best of all, we can play football all we want, and we never get tired."

Jim smiled, and then frowned. "That's brilliant Fred, but what's the bad news?"

"Well Jim, you've been picked for the first eleven on Saturday".

Without any proper qualifications in well anything, I am a real expert in some ****, normally useless **** but hey.

I believe that Boudicca is simply the name given and not the name she was known by.

Boo or Bou or even Bud can translate into Bride or Partner and icca is can be simply a female of the Iceni tribe.

Budica - Bride of the Iceni

I believe her real name is Colin.
