Reading the article that bookies are offering 2/1 for Newcastle to catch and overtake Sunderland got me thinking: Itââ¬â¢s the final day and Newcastle needs to outscore Sunderland to overtake them. Both teams are on equal points as Newcastle had a late resurgent run whilst Sunderland drew match after match which allowed the Toon Army to catch up. The only relevant stat keeping Sunderland as the top team in the North East is a tenuous extra goal scored. Both managers have talked to the press about finishing the season on a high note and all teams are up for the game. At half time; the scores on either side of the river are equal and it looks as if Sunderland for the first time in many blue moons will be top dogs. The half time break comes and goes and the supporters have kept a wary eye on each others predicaments. We can boast that itââ¬â¢s nothing but we know that finishing as the highest placed means almost everything; bar winning the league or a cup. Second half starts and despite numerous attempts to score and secure the spot and seal the bragging rights; each squad appears to be misfiring. The clock ticks on with fate favouring the red and white. The closeness to a summer of superiority pulls the supporters on. The cheers have started, the clock is almost finished and that last line within touching difference. Frantically checking for updates itââ¬â¢s all as was in both matches. The fourth official lifts the board to signal 2 minutes of extra time. Two minutes until frolicking with lady luck for the victors whilst a meal with miss fortune for the losers beckons. A back pass, routine but heââ¬â¢s under pressure. A hacked clearance, a crowd subdued to silence as the trajectory is marked and a scream of disbelief begins to emanate from the assembly. Itââ¬â¢s close, itââ¬â¢s in, and itââ¬â¢s over. The re-start and all hands are thrown to the heavens to decry the gods and all who plotted this devilish outcome. News filters through of a disaster for some and there are tears of rage and shouts of joy. The day is done, the table decided, the victors take their spoils and the losers hold their heads high; safe in the knowledge that battle will return and the outcome is yet to be decided. I hope itââ¬â¢s that close and to the victors; congratulations but the best thing is that both teams are in the top tier and that makes the season to come that little bit more special. Thoughts?
My thoughts are on the chicken bake from 11am that keeps repeating on me. Can you still buy Remegel? They're chewy, not chalky. haven't seen the advert for about ten years is all...
Not sure about Remegel but Fireman semen helps with indigestion according to Gaviscon. Well; that's how I interpreted the ad... A woman takes a fireman's hose in her mouth and feels better.
