Morning all, firing up the old JCB in the barn today ... ... there's 100 years of old stuff around the place that needs to go. The plan is to dig a big hole, bury everything and use the earth to landscape the area. Disaster and a water mains beckons
Think unofficially the lock down is over Been to do my bit of volunteering work Definitely more people about not on public transportation Certain in cars
Work again for me sat watching come dine with me crippled on pain killers. Cant not go in nothing to do so may as well be in pain here and get paid rather than be in pain at home and not.
French season voided ... .... https://www.not606.com/threads/corona-virus-and-football.382314/page-22
Everything should be voided. We have no immunisation, cure or totally reliable testing system and it's killing thousands of people. More people have died in England than we had for our last home game. Playing football matches would involve thousands of tests every week. At the moment not even hospital staff, doctors and care workers can all be tested. I love football but it's a sport and, in reality, doesn't really matter. We all pretend it does because we have to jusity it to ourselves, but it doesn't.
I agree 100% funnily enough haven't even missed it. Have weekends without disappointment I can't see it starting up till next year tbh as if they rush it it may cause another jump in infections and deaths.
I love Hanks enthusiastic posts about the latest death toll .... "only 500 today lads'. But in reality if it drops to 'only' 50 or 20 a day that means the virus is still amongst us and killing people.
Exactly 500 is still a crazy high number and we are in lock down imagine how much worse it would be if we we're all out at the pubs and still going to the match.
Exactly mate, it's a virus that can only be spread by human contact ... ... allowing more contact just to play games would be idiotic.
Even behind doors as players still need contact. They will try and rush it out of pure greed but I'd imagine it wont be allowed.
