Stupid and pointless thread but anyone getting Fifa 12 on PS3. I'm currently building my Ultimate Team
I'll probably get it in a few months after I'm done with Gears and Batman, hopefully manager mode will have been updated
Shall be getting both FIFA and Football Manager. I've just bought myself a PS3 because I missed consoles over the last 18 months or so since I sold the XBox for not playing enough, so didn't even play FIFA last year, demo looks really promising
Wow- football manager is out a bit earlier this years, great news. I was debating whether to get a new PS3 or Xbox this week when I get paid (old one's broke and out of warranty ). Think I will just wait for Football Manager now, get it from Steam and sit in the office and look very ''dedicated'' for the next few weeks. 7am starts and 10pm finishes .
super keen on the new fifa. if anyone wants a game or 55 do let me know (ps3) chrissy buy a new ps3. go on, u know u wanna
I went PS3 as a casual gamer because of the things like iPlayer and 4OD etc. Also being an american sports fan, being region free it's easier to play baseball games
I might do- but don't know if I can shell out £200-£300 when I've had one that broke. I feel scarred by it! Plus, Xbox has GOW3 and Fifa. Did anyone use to play at backofthenet.info? Closed down now I believe, but in my late teens I lived on that site for online pro evo gaming!
Super I can't recommend GoW3 enough but like you with the ps3 I have had my 360 die (red rings of death) and got a new one so whichever one you get could break still. Though an Xbox is slightly cheaper
Haysey - I Was playing GOW3 last week in co-op and I enjoyed it so much I tried to pop in to Argos on Peckham high st at just after 7pm to buy one but it was closed! Not a bad thing in hindsight as I now get to debate with myself whether I buy an Xbox or PS3. That said- if I buy one it will be redundant in a month when FM2012 is out. Scrap that, any social life will be redundant in a month
Super - its a good debate to be having as long as you van afford it. I have found myself playing gears endlessly online (the matchmaking system works a treat) and can see the same thing happening with fifa. If your planning on getting the next football manager it might be an idea to get a second hand Xbox for £80 to get your gears/fifa fix, then your not too much outta pocket
Can you get second hand ones for 80smackers? Wow! As for GOW- it was the first time I had played it since completing the 1st one, and it was much better than I remembered. Incredible game.
Yep, try popping in cex in bexleyheath, they have them from between 80 - 100, failing that game or gamestation should have them at the sameish price. Yeah I thought that too, I wasn't impressed with the second one but the 3rd is an absolute gem! Getting back to the fifa 12 topic, has anyone played the demo? I have a friend who already has fifa 12 (signed up to some advanced ea sports pass) and he is struggling with the new defense controls
I played the demo against a friend, but that was after several hours of GOW (and many beers), so don't remember much. Seemed ok, but I think the problem is playing against the computer I've heard.
That's what my friend said, playing manager mode on world class he was finding the comp was relentless in challenges and took there chances everytime, and was a veteran legendary mode player on fifa 11.
One thing I'm curious about is- how are playing Ultimate Team currently? Seen so many things across Twitter of people playing it, but on Fifa 10 and Fifa 11 UT didn't come out to a while after the game... but now they are building teams before they even have the game?
Since last year you could log online and do your team from there (as well as bid for other players) and ultimate team is ready straight away this year, if you get the ultimate edition fifa 12 you get a free gold pack every month. Tbh I got bored of UT last year and just played as an online team with a few friends
