It's not from his Redwedge days but it is a big warm hug in these days, we have daily facetimes with the grand kids and my daughter is due to have her First in a couple of months time which seems unbearable that we will not be able to hold the baby or me holding the baby Lion king style and showing them the wonder and possibilities of being a Tottenham Hotspur fan <laugh>

I tried to get my eldest out of the delivery suite to hold her up to the world 'Kunta Kinte style'. I was stopped by the midwife.

By the time I left, Mrs B was well pleased to lose me to the pub.

I know what you mean , if I'd tried that with my eldest she would have seen the Jet petrol station but my daughter is due to have hers in Watford next door to Vicarage road so I will give that a swerve

    MISS HEARD OR MISUNDERSTOOD LYRICS
For years I thought the line from the Temptations Papa was a Rollin' stone was " and when he died all he left us was a loan"
Instead of " all he left us was alone " used to reason that he left them a bit of money although they would have to pay it back <laugh><laugh><laugh>

The Rage Against The Machine song Take The Power Back contains this lyric:
Gotta get it, gotta get it together then Like the motherfuckin Weathermen

It refers to a bunch of militant left-wingers from the 60s/70s and not Michael Fish, et al, as I originally thought! <laugh>

For a shamefully long period of my life I thought the lyrics for It's A Sin actually said "It's a laugh, it's a laugh, it's a laugh, it's a sin"

Clive, a top mate of mine from school days was a huge Jam fan...but still managed to mistake...

"What chance have you got against a tie and a crest?"

    ...for...

"What chance have you got against the tired aggressed?

I mean, who exactly are "the tired aggressed" and why would you have no chance against them?"

Happy 66th birthday to The Captain. To alleviate the boredom, he has recreated the front cover of DAMNED DAMNED DAMNED...

Here is the cover shot from 43 years ago...

He's really not grown old or grown up at all. Happy Birthday, mate!

    Burning Spear
