I think you’re right that the lawyers will have covered this. The TV piracy thing is harder to bury which is why I think it will be more of an issue than such a vile regime owning a football club.
I thought this, but if you look into it they have no chance because they were already cleared of any wrong doing in court. I do feel there's too much hypocrisy out there about this... I mean nobody battered an eyelid when Joshua was over there collecting his money and PPV was being sold all over the country.
I don’t know whether there was a court case but what the courts think would be irrelevant. The PL would consider whether it’s in their vested interests to have a constituent who actively deprives them of revenue. However, no one turns down Saudi money so I just can’t see the deal being refused.
I think the timing of it also makes it harder to turn down given the financial issues at the moment, but I will have a doubt until it's announced which will be within the next week apparently.
https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...abia-latest-bein-sports-amnesty-a9481411.html Oooh. imagine the PL looking after the interests of the other clubs over a flawed investment in Newcastle with Saverley as a Saudi puppet.
joshus took about 100 million of Saudi money and he was in the papers a national hero no mention of sportswashing just blowing smoke up is southern arse
The fact that BEIN sports failed to prove the Saudis were directly responsible for the illegal broadcasts in court, is irrelevant to what the PL may believe to be in their best interests.
cant believe that they sold the fight on PPV if they paid for it all. Good on him taking the blood money, stops him spending it on fake paintings and arms to kill innocent people nd have people chopped up
This was no last minute obstacle that's been thrown in, so as I've said I believe the legal teams have already taken care of this given the 17 million pound deposit paid. I do find it very interesting that you've switched from you original position to searching for hope that the takeover wont even go through lol
Losing £17m is nothing for a man who paid £500m for a painting remember! Is it, isn't it going ahead?
This has nothing to do with law, its about the PL deciding if the deal would be in the best interests of the brand now and in the future
What money? How do the PL gain a penny from the Saudis buying a controlling stake in Newcastle? They do however receive £400m a year from BEIN.
anyway the reporters close to the deal say it will be going through despite of all the attempts to stop it
The prem league clubs could all do with selling a few players atm its not uncommon for a few back hand payments to float around in football either
