No membership payments to be taken in May...

Hull City can confirm that monthly Membership payments will not be taken in May due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

With all professional football in the country currently postponed until it is deemed safe to resume, the Club appreciates the uncertainty of the current situation for our fan base. We are grateful for the patience, commitment and support shown by our loyal supporters in recent weeks, which has been a key factor in this decision. With no payments to be taken on 1st May, we are hopeful of a definitive resolution on the remainder of the 2019/20 season ahead of June’s scheduled payment date, which will be communicated to members as soon as possible.

Please note that supporters who have recently cancelled their Memberships will not be entitled to the payment holiday. However, any fans wishing to revoke their cancellation on the back of receiving this information will be allowed to do so.

If you wish to reinstate your Membership, please contact us by email at [email protected] by 1pm this Friday (24th April), including the customer reference number(s) that you wish to keep on. If reinstating more than one Membership, the names of each Member should also be clearly stated.

Everyone at Hull City is committed to supporting the Government’s efforts in tackling the COVID-19 outbreak and the staging of football matches in this country, although it is clearly something that simply cannot happen at this time. Discussions with all relevant football authorities remain ongoing and we will continue to provide updates to supporters wherever and whenever possible.

I think pretty much everyone is now resigned to the fact, that even if there is a return to football this season, the games will all be played behind closed doors.

 

It seems that League Two clubs don't want to see football resume, until fans are able to attend games again, as they can't afford to stage games without the gate money.

 

HULL CITY CAN TODAY CONFIRM DETAILS OF REFUNDS FOR ANY MATCH TICKETS PURCHASED FOR GAMES STILL TO BE PLAYED IN REMAINDER OF THE 2019/20 SEASON.

These arrangements will apply to tickets purchased for the Club’s home games against Charlton Athletic and Middlesbrough and away fixtures at Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion (including Tiger Travel).

Any purchases of match tickets made over the phone or on the internet will be automatically refunded into supporters’ bank accounts from Wednesday (27th May).

Fans who purchased tickets in person from Tiger Leisure or the Ticket Office Kiosk, either by cash or card, will need to apply in writing for their refund. To do so, please send an email to [email protected].

Please note that any supporters who still have fixtures remaining (maximum of four) on their 6 or 12-game savers, these games will roll over to the 2020/21 season. Further instructions on how to claim these will be issued in the future.

We would like to take this opportunity to extend the Club’s appreciation of our supporters’ patience and understanding over the issue of refunds during this difficult period for all businesses.


No membership payments are being taken for June either.

 

THE CLUB WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL MEMBERS FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT, PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING DURING THIS TURBULENT AND DIFFICULT TIME.

After the announcement of the recommencement of the season scheduled for 20th June, our focus is very much on club-wide preparations for that date and our remaining nine games.

These games will be played behind closed doors with members unfortunately unable to attend the KCOM Stadium for the four remaining home matches.

Those four matches that are due to be played are covered by the membership payment holidays that were put in place for May and June, meaning that members have not missed out on any games through overpayment. The payment holidays offer a pro rata saving equivalent to those four games.

To give an example, an adult member paying £30 per month would usually pay £360 to cover all 23 homes games, equating to £15.65 per game. The membership payment holiday means that an adult member has now paid £300 to attend 19 home games, slightly more at £15.79 per game.

Information on streaming options for the remaining games of the season, which will be available for all members and fans to purchase, will be released soon.
