To be fair, the daily figures given out by the government have always been solely based on deaths of those in hospital, simply because it takes longer to collate data from the community at large. And for Sky to be pointing out that the ONS is somehow different from the government is nonsense. The Office for National Statistics is where the government gets all its data from.

The main point is that we are seeing people dying on a scale unprecedented since these records began. The week up to 3 April was the highest on record and now that’s been surpassed.

Matt Hancock says the Oxford team working on a covid 19 vaccine will begin human trials from Thursday.

Please,please, please let this be the start of a successful trial, and we can get back to some kind of normal.
There’s been more than enough who have died from this horrible disease.

 

I really hope you are right, but I wasnt aware of any breakthrough for any coronavirus previously.

The PPE suppliers and distributers must have used the same email address as the EU did with their offer of help and support. You know the one, the one that nobody ever bothers to read.

 

It's a shame Piers Morgan has only started asking tough questions to the government now.

He has always been in a position to influence public opinion, and has abused that power until now.

I wish it was true Ritchie, but Matt Hancock and his fellow cronies have told so many blatant lies and made so many empty promises that I wouldn't believe anything he has said concerning a vaccine. The man is an incompetent clown and the only thing he has actually achieved through all this crisis is to come up with a stupid badge. This bunch of frauds can't even arrange delivery of PPE for NHS workers, who they neither care about nor value.

The WHO and just about every other recognised medical scientist and virologist of any note have clearly stated that a coronavirus vaccine is probably well over a year away, and that is being incredibly optimistic.

Matt Hancock is using the usual political deflection tactics to divert attention away from the scandalous and completely unacceptable mismanagement of this crisis to yet another 'hope' which is nothing other than pure fantasy. The government have been well and truly rumbled and they are just throwing around lies and distortions because they don't know anything else. None of them have an honest bone in their bodies.

As bad as this whole situation is , all they really had to do was tell the truth, follow advice and look after the publics health and interests.

They failed to do any of those things.

But instead they thought they knew best and royally ****ed everyone over. It's actually beyond ****ed up they are still running the country.

I totally agree this government had told nothing but lies after lies at every turn , but it’s what the majority voted for (not me) and we (for now) are stuck with them .
